Tobias Gourlay's preparing for a colourful night out in Spain as the Red & Whites entertain the Blue & Whites
Almeria v Deportivo La Coruna
Monday 20:00
Kev's still firmly in the black, but he was turning the air blue at Windsor Park last night as a 92nd-minute winner for Austria sunk his bet on Northern Ireland last night.
Our week begins in Spain, where there's a single Segunda Division game to get excited about tonight. Both Almeria and Deportivo La Coruna have recently known the glories of La Liga, but now find themselves fighting to regain a place at Spain's top table. Today's hosts, Almeria, are in mid table (12th), but have recently won four in a row at Juegos Mediterraneos Stadium. In each of those four games, the Red & Whites have scored at least twice.
Despite that recent form, they start as outsiders against fourth-placed Deportivo. The visitors are W2-D4-L1 on the road this term. They've scored in 6/7 but the crucial stat for us is that the Blue & Whites have also conceded in 6/7. Between Almeria's good scoring form and the favourites' shaky defensive record, we think there's enough to warrant a bet on both teams to score at better than even money.
