Football Bet of the Day: Defences to disintegrate in Denmark

In Greece yesterday, Asteras Tripolis failed to beat their regular whipping boys Panionios. The game finished goalless and this column was left with a big fat donut of its own.

We're resurfacing today in Denmark, where the first of today's two Superliga matches brings second-bottom Esbjerg to eighth-placed AC Horsens. Despite sitting in mid-table, the hosts have the league's second-worst home defence and we fancy both teams can score this afternoon.

At CASA Arena Horsens this term, the Yellow Danger have primarily been a danger to themselves, conceding 23 times in 13 appearances (W6-D1-L6). They have conceded twice in each of their last three home games. At the other end, they failed to score in their first four home matches of the season, but have recently netted in nine straight. Eight of those nine delivered BTTS.

Visiting Esbjerg have shown signs of life on the road recently. After failing to score on any of the season's first four road trips, they have subsequently notched in 7/9. Without a clean sheet on their travels all season, 7/9 have also produced BTTS and that's our bet for this one.
