"Aberdeen have been leading at the break in 12/15 home wins, including each of the most recent eight"
Livingston could lose fast at Pittodrie this evening, warns Tobias Gourlay
Aberdeen v Livingston
Tuesday 19:45
There was a surprise in Poland last night as Cracovia Krakow eased past Arka Gdynia 3-0. Not only did the visitors - and outsiders - win, but they kept a clean sheet. That's the bit we really didn't see coming.
We move on. To Scotland, where tonight's Scottish Premiership game pits seventh-placed Aberdeen at home to sixth-placed Livingston. Last time out at Pittodrie, the Dons were upset 0-2 by St Johnstone, but we like the price on them to bounce back fast tonight.
Since taking charge of the Dons in 2013, Derek McInnes has built a solid home record, winning 60% of all Premiership matches at Pittodrie (61/101). Before that St Johnstone defeat, his men had won four straight on home turf. Under McInnes, the Dons have been ahead at half-time in most of those home wins (40/61). Since the start of last term, that trend has firmed: they've been leading at the break in 12/15 home wins, including each of the most recent eight.
Promoted back to the top flight this season, Livingston have acquitted themselves well. However, the Lions do most of their best work on their won patch, with six of their seven wins coming at Almondvale Stadium. On the road, they've recently lost three in a row and failed to score in 4/5. In all three of those defeats, they were losing after 45 minutes.
On a day when Europe is focused on the final group games from the Champions League, and very little is happening elsewhere, we'll take the 3.259/4 about Aberdeen to quickly put Livingston to the sword.
