Premier League - Relegation battle hots up

Kevin Hatchard: Brighton 8.07/1 are only three points above the relegation zone so would you back them to go down?

Mark O'Haire: I wouldn't be backing Brighton for relegation. They've only won five games all season, and Sheff U have won four, but the key thing for Brighton is there goal difference of -7 which is much better than the teams around then. I expect Brighton to arrest the slide, but the dogfight is getting interesting. Fulham 1.9420/21 are slowly dragging themselves into the survival race. Newcastle 2.6613/8 are not out of the woods and neither are Burnley 7.87/1.

Premier League - this weekend's tips

Manchester City v Manchester United

MO: City will be opposable at some point but this isn't the match for that. You have to go back eight games for the last time United scored in open play against a big six team. On the Exchange you've got the goal lines market and around kick off you should be able to get 1.758/11 on under three goals.

JO: United have been solid against big six teams without creating many chances. I agree with Mark, we're going to see a low-scoring game, but I'm happy to side with City to end United's unbeaten away run. I'm going for a same game multi bet on the Sportsbook: City to win and under 3.5 goals at around 2.26/5.

Chelsea v Everton

MO: Both teams are capable of keep thing tight. I expect Chelsea to get the result but unders is a great play at around evens.

JO: Since Thomas Tuchel took over Chelsea have had the best defence, in terms of conceding chances, in the Premier League.

Tottenham v Crystal Palace

JO: Palace will put 10 men behind the ball and it will be up to Spurs to break down their opponents. They have the quality to do that. The 4-0 win against Burnley was extremely promising. Palace are in the middle of an identity crisis. Spurs can win this to nil and 2-0 or 3-0 could be the outcome to back once the correct market has warmed up.

Aston Villa v Wolves

MO: Wolves attacking game is below par at the moment while Aston Villa's defence is strong. Villa have edge but I don' trust them so I'm going against both teams to score at 2.0621/20. It would have landed in nine of Villa's games this season.

Brighton v Leicester

JO: Fascinating match. Brighton have shortened to become favourites for this game. That's down to Leicester's injuries to Jamie Vardy and Harvey Barnes. Brighton are creating chances without converting them. I think the draw 3.3512/5 is a real runner in this and will back it with small stakes. Under 2.5 goals 1.674/6 is the main bet though.

Sheffield United v Southampton

MO: This will be Sheffield United's third match in a week whereas Southampton will have had a full week's rest. Sheffield United have massive defensive injury problems. I like Danny Ings to score at 2.47/5.

Atletico Madrid v Real Madrid - Don't expect goals

JO: Madrid derbies don't tend to be high-scoring. Atletico have wobbled recently so this is a really big game. Real are in decent form. I think the two teams will cancel each other out. I'll back under 2.5 goals and Real or the draw at 2.26/5. Small stakes on no goalscorer.

MO: I also expect a low-scoring game but Atleti. This has the potential to be a 0-0.

Bayern v Dortmund - Visitors set for more Der Klassiker misery

KH: I expect goals here. Dortmund have lost 4-0, 5-0 and 6-0 in their last three visits to Munich. They have a mental block about this fixture. I'd go over 3.5 goals and Robert Lewandowski to score at 2.186/5. He's scored 19 in 22 against his old club.

JO: Is 7-0 on the cards? Leon Goretzka at 18/1 to score first is an interesting one each way or to score any time at 5/1. A brace for him at 100/1 is interesting too.

MO: I think Bayern are over-priced at 1.674/6. But Bayern -0.75 at 1.784/5 is more appealing. I expect a comfortable home win.

Serie A - two bets for the weekend

JO: Inter host Atalanta in a really big game for the title race. Both teams create plenty of chances and are in really good form. I'm going for BTTS and over 2.5 at 1.910/11.

JO: My other bet in Italy this weekend comes in Udinese v Sassuolo. I want Udinese onside at 2.568/5 but if you can get them on Asian handicap -1.5 that's worth taking.

Champions League - last 16 second legs

Dortmund v Sevilla (3-2)

MH: It's going to be very difficult for Sevilla because of the away goals that Dortmund scored in the first leg. I was impressed by the way Dortmund tactically exposed Sevilla. It's hard to find a bet that I want to get behind here. But there might be an opportunity to back both Sevilla centre-halves - Diego Carlos and Jules Kounde to score at around 25/1 each, as the Germans have problems defending set-pieces.

KH: Dortmund have been very good but I do think there's fragility there and if Sevilla could get the first goal it would be very interesting.

JO: There's still a chance for Sevilla to qualify. At the prices I'd be tempted to lay Dortmund. Sevilla will be better in this match than they were in Spain.

Juventus v Porto (1-2)

KH: All of the pressure is one Juve here. The tie is beautifully set up.

MO: That late away goal that Juve scored in the first leg tips the tie in their favour. Juve to win and under 4.5 goals at just shy of even money is a fair bet.

Liverpool v RB Leipzig (2-0)

JO: Leipzig have a chance of scoring because Liverpool are missing Henderson. But the Reds should have too much for Leipzig. I like the look of under 2.5 goals at 2.111/10.

MO: I'd look towards Mo Salah at 7/2 or bigger in the first goalscorer market.

PSG v Barcelona (4-1)

JO: This will be extremely difficult for Barcelona. I'd be happy to take a little punt on PSG to win the second leg. Barcelona will have to step up and that will create chances for Kylian Mbappe.
