Saturday Sports Multiple: A Burnley win the headline in a 10/1 weekend wager

Burnley look good for three points on Saturday

“Saturday’s visitors enjoyed an excellent season last time round but the early signs are that they could be in for a tough campaign without star midfielder Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg.”

Pandora Hughes has lined up another weekend multiple and she's banking on Burnley picking up their first Premier League win of the season on Saturday.

Bet 1: Back Burnley to beat Southampton at 23/10

Burnley kicked off their Premier League campaign with an entertaining 4-2 defeat against Leicester, but I'm backing the Clarets to bounce back this weekend.

Saturday's visitors enjoyed an excellent season last time round but the early signs are that they could be in for a tough campaign without star midfielder Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg. An opening day defeat to Crystal Palace was followed by a home loss to Brentford in the EFL Cup and a 5-2 thrashing by a Hojbjerg-assisted Spurs side.

By contrast, Sean Dyche's men have at least got some wins on the board, edging out Sheffield United penalties, then beating Millwall, both in the EFL Cup, and with their strong home record, against a side they haven't lost to at Turf Moor since 2016, they look a solid bet to bag all three points.

Bet 2: Back Kolkata Knight Risers to beat Hyderabad Sunrisers at 11/10

Both of these teams suffered big defeats in their opening IPL games and are already under pressure to show significant improvement.

The Knight Riders have overhauled their squad after an inconsistent 2019 tournament, but they made a mess of their opener, being restricted to 146 by the reigning champions Mumbai, while Hyderabad, who made the top four last season, were skittled out for 153 chasing a gettable total against Royal Challengers Bangalore.

Hyderabad are the favourites here, but although they have a strong top three, headed by David Warner and Jonny Bairstow, their middle order looks low on firepower, while the Knight Riders have one of the world's best Twenty20 finishers in Andre Russell, and that could prove the difference in what is likely to be a close game.

Bet 3: Back Cronulla Sharks to beat Canberra Raiders at 4/7

On paper, Canberra Raiders have a chance to sneak into the top four of the NRL this weekend with victory over the Sharks, but with the Parramatta Eels expected to beat the lowly Wests Tigers later on Saturday, they are unlikely to hold onto that spot.

Instead, it seems that Raiders coach Ricky Stuart is happy to settle for fifth, given the nine changes he's made to his line-up. That should open the door to the Cronulla Sharks to pick up a rare success against another top eight side.

The Sharks were well beaten by the Roosters last time and will want to find some form ahead of their own Finals challenge. The head to head record between these sides is close so I'm siding with the home team against their weakened opponents.

Total Odds for this multiple: 10/1. Remember, multiple prices are based on our Sportsbook product, so any winnings are exempt from commission.
