Bet 1: Back Brighton to beat Newcastle at 8/13
Based on the league table, this looks like a match-up between two equally poor sides, but although Brighton are just a point ahead of the Magpies, in reality, the gap between the two sides is much wider than that.
The Seagulls have been playing some excellent football in recent weeks, and although they haven't been able to turn that into the wins they need to pull clear of the bottom three, it is surely only a matter of time before that situation improves.
The same cannot be said for their opponents. Newcastle have won just two of their last 17 in the top flight, and the absence of key forwards Callum Wilson, Allain Saint-Maximin and Miguel Almiron means that Brighton should have little to fear here.
Bet 2: Back Time To Get Up to win the Midlands National at 10/3
Jonjo O'Neill's sole win in the Midlands National came back in 2010, with the future Gold Cup hero Synchronised, and while this year's O'Neill entry may not be in that class, he looks a good bet to land the odds at Uttoxeter on Saturday.
Time To Get Up finished second to Monkfish as a novice hurdler, but was always likely to be seen to better effect as a chaser. After a couple of ordinary runs over inadequate trips, he improved markedly when stepped up to three miles at Wincanton last month keeping on strongly in bottomless conditions.
That stamina is likely to be tested further in this race with soft conditions forecast, but with just six runs under his belt, there's surely more to come and an 8lb rise for his latest win should not inconvenience him.
Bet 3: Back Real Madrid to beat Celta Vigo at 8/11
Real Madrid are running out of time to catch up with city rivals Atletico at the top of La Liga, but they are in good form and should be able to pick up another win here.
Saturday's opponents are unbeaten in three games and have lost only one of the last eight, but they've only picked up two wins in that run, and their inability to find the net was once again on show in a disappointing 0-0 draw with Bilbao last time.
By contrast, Real are on a roll, having dumped Atalanta out of the Champions League in midweek and are now unbeaten in nine games, a sequence that has included four clean sheets. They won the reverse fixture 2-0 earlier in the year and have a solid record against these opponents, so I'm backing them to grind out the points.
