After a good start to the season under Steve Evans, a man who could do little wrong at the Mem, Rovers have turned a bad corner and have lost six of their last seven matches.
Evans tried some fresh legs on Saturday in the second-half, in search of some drive as none was forthcoming, but to no avail in a 3-1 loss to Fleetwood. However, this is a game that can spark them back into life.
Cambridge will have more pressing matters in terms of staying in League One as a newly promoted side, but given they sitting just outside of the play-off places at the moment, a promotion push could take more of a preference.
Rovers would have been a cracking bet for this tie if it took place in September, but I still think a bit of cup magic from Evans and co is worth chancing here. Two of Rovers' home defeats in entertaining games were against Barnet and Salford, and for a large part of the Barnet game they played well.

Crewe are ever so slightly favourites despite being in the division below, but arguably Wimbledon, on current form, should be a little bigger in price.
The Dons haven't won since mid-September and they have been handed a couple of drubbings by Sheffield Wednesday (5-0) and Mansfield (3-0).
Crewe's home form keeps them in pole position here, as Lee Bell's side are unbeaten in seven home games with just eight conceded, which looks tough for a Dons side that have one of the worst total xG metrics in the third tier at just 1.21.
The Alex had plenty of intent in the second-half against a very good Barnet team and the same intensity could prove too much for an out of form Wimbledon.

Boreham Wood always pop up in the column for FA Cup days here, and they've done us a decent turn down the years.
Saturday is no different and for one of the best teams in the National League at the moment, Wigan in two divisions higher are not even favourites.
Teams haven't got a chance against Boreham Wood, who are 14 wins from 16 but an astonishing record of 44 goals in 16 games. That quite frankly is ridiculous. Over 2.5 goals - (available to back at 40/851.47) - anyone?
Luke Garrard, Wood manager, even had top scorer Matt Rush on the bench for Saturday's 4-3 late win against Hartlepool, with the top scorer getting the 90th minute clincher and his 10th in ten games.
And it won't even be a shock if the hosts win.

Eastleigh aren't quite so hot in the National League in the bottom half, but 5/23.50 is a tempting price against a Shrewsbury team who have failed to convince me.
I do like siding with a National League team that has a goalscorer, a tried and trusted method, and the hosts have Aaron Blair who hit a hat-trick against Boston recently and has eight in 16 thus far.
Max Dickov, son of Paul, plays in what appears a five-man midfield with former Wales string-puller Jonny Williams, or "Jonnyesta" as he was once known.
Shrewsbury were thumped in the League Cup at Fleetwood and survival will be their sole aim, and the price on an Eastleigh victory here at 5/23.50 means it would be far from a big shock.

It wouldn't be an FA Cup column without the Bees, who just keep scoring.
Countless times I have tipped them already this season and we're only in November, but there's no reason to leave Dean Brennan's side out of the tipsheet.
Combining the goals again with the win gives us 21/103.10, which is hardly me unearthing truffles as markets are wised up now. Barnet have scored in every single League Two fixture this season, and all have been BTTS. That's 13 games, 13 BTTS results.
Kabongo Tshimanga will be a sore miss for the hosts as the third tier top scorer with 10 goals in 13 appearances, but a knee injury has halted his flying season and it's the chance for someone else to stake their claim, although the 29-year-old forward should get a lot of praise as he was unfit on Saturday but still went on for Brennan.
Tshimanga scored twice in the 1-2 win at Tranmere last month in a rousing second-half display and the same scoreline will do perfectly.

Fleetwood are searching for consistency, or were before the EFL Cup penalties win over Arsenal, which prompted a massive 3-1 success and form boost for the Cod Army at Bristol Rovers.
I am not sure how many of the Arsenal players were as up for it as Fleetwood were, but there was no doubting the energy levels post-Gunners as they were far superior to Rovers, which is a surprise to hear from Steve Evans.
Home xG metrics for the Fleetwood 1.7 and 0.99 sit well compared with some of the better third tier teams and facing Rochdale won't scare anyone with four defeats on the road already and a paltry xG away of just 1.11.
