Lucky England get away with it as Euro 2012 rivals are held

It was a lacklustre performance from England. Not that backers of the 2-2 draw at 48.0 will care much about that.

Fabio Capello's men once again disappoint but Montenegro fail to capitalise

England's Euro 2012 blushes were saved when Montenegro were held by Bulgaria in a home tie just hours after the Three Lions disappointed at Wembley.

That leaves Fabio Capello's men locked on 11 points with their Group G rivals, though England are ahead on goal difference.

England were matched at 1.36 to defeat Switzerland to sign off a long domestic season with three points in their Euro 2012 qualification campaign.

But Ottmar Hitzfield's men did not stick to the script, opening up a two goal lead thanks to Tranquillo Barnetta to shock the Wembley crowd.

It was to England's credit that they came back to level matters - a Frank Lampard penalty and Ashley Young effort denying Switzerland backers at 1.42 - but it was nevertheless a lacklustre performance from the home side. Not that backers of the 2-2 draw at 48.0 will care much about that.

However, with three games to go, Betfair customers make the Three Lions solid favourites to win the group. They trade as the 1.19 favourites to do so with Montenegro outsiders at 4.8.
