NTT20s EFL Tips: Back Salford, Crawley and Wednesday in a 7/1 treble

Darren Moore's Sheffield Wednesday should ease to victory at Forest Green on Sunday

There might be no Premier League or Championship games this weekend but George Elek from Not The Top 20 is back to give us a treble from Leagues One and Two, backing Sheffield Wednesday to bounce back alongside Crawley and Salford...

  • Resurgent Crawley have seven points from last three games

  • Question marks around Stevenage's home form

  • Forest Green showed little scoring intent against Plymouth

Crawley Town v Rochdale

Back Crawley to win @ 23/20

This is a must win game for Rochdale if they are to have any real chance of preserving their EFL status, but the odds look stacked against them to do so against Scott Lindsey's resurgent Crawley Town. Dale have lost seven of their last 10 away games in League Two and have picked up just 13 points on the road over the course of the season.

Crawley are a backable price because they've been equally poor for the most part this season but there is no doubt that their third manager of the season has them in the best form we've seen so far. 7 points in their last three games has moved Crawley out of the relegation zone, and they were unfortunate not to beat Doncaster in midweek.

With Dom Telford, Ashley Nadesan in fine form and Jordan Mutch adding some quality in midfield since his arrival, if Crawley maintain their recent performance levels then they should come away from this one with three points and closer to safety.

Stevenage v Salford

Back Salford or Draw @ 5/6

Maybe the biggest game of the weekend, this clash will have a huge say in the League Two promotion race. Stevenage look to be coming out of a slump with three wins in their last five and a decent point at Carlisle last time out. Previously very strong at home, back-to-back defeats at the hands of Bradford and Tranmere were damaging, and there are still question marks about their performances after an unconvincing 1-0 win over lowly Crewe last time they were seen at The Lamex Stadium.

Salford, on the other hand, look in great form in their quest to muscle their way into the Top 7 and therefore a play-off berth. The 5-2 win at Mansfield made the rest of the league sit up and take notice, with two 3-1 home wins following showing a side in rude health. The 4-3 defeat at Crewe is the one fly in the ointment, but they led that game 3-2 into injury time and on another day would have come away with all three points.

Odds of 19/20 about Stevenage is too short in this clash between two well-matched teams so it's the 5/6 on either a draw or Salford win that appeals here getting with a side who have scored 11 goals in their last five games on the road.

Forest Green Rovers v Sheffield Wednesday

Back Sheffield Wednesday to win to nil @ 11/10

Sheffield Wednesday were knocked off top spot by Plymouth Argyle in midweek following their 4-2 defeat at Barnsley, but have the perfect chance to put that behind them with a trip to the bottom side in League One live on Sky Sports Football on Sunday afternoon.

Wednesday are a short price to win this and rightly so, but we can get some value by taking any odds-against about them winning to nil. They've won three of their last five away games without conceding, and have still conceded the fewest goals in the league despite shipping four in midweek.

Duncan Ferguson's Forest Green put in a bizarre display last time out at Plymouth where they showed little intent to engage with Argyle let alone try to score, with the home team completing over 700 passes in the game and easing to victory. If the hosts show a similar lack of intent here then Darren Moore's men should make a mockery of the 11/10 on them winning to nil.
