Leg 1: Back Exeter -1 v Leyton Orient
With just two matches in the third tier this weekend we are aiming for a double in the league where everyone is beating everyone else, but this looks a good opportunity for the Grecians to get on the board with a win.
Saturday's opponents Leyton Orient are struggling following their rampant title win in League Two last term. Losing some big players has affected them and they've lost five of their seven so far.
Last weekend Stevenage brushed them aside with a clinical counter-attacking win - 0-3 at Brisbane Road, and were set up perfectly in key areas to stunt Richie Wellens' side.
League leaders Exeter have won their last three League One games. They last won four in a row in April 2022, while they last did so as a third tier side in April 2011 (a run of five).
The home price 8/131.61 is fair, but I think they can cover the handicap here given the Os have been beaten 2-0, 3-0 and 4-0 so far, and the 2/13.00 price for the -1 makes a bit of sense.
KEY OPTA STAT: Exeter City have lost just one of their last 10 Football League meetings with Leyton Orient (W7 D2), a 0-3 away League Two defeat in August 2021.
Leg 2: Back Stevenage to beat Carlisle
Stevenage are joint-top in League One with 13 points from their six matches and their two clean sheets in two games at home should stand them in good stead for the weekend visit of Carlisle.
Indeed, since the start of last season, only Leyton Orient (17) have kept more home clean sheets in England's top four tiers than Stevenage (15). The Boro have kept a clean sheet in their last four at the Lamex Stadium - they've never gone five without conceding at home in the Football League.
Carlise have lost both away games so far without scoring a goal and the simple maths here on form all points to a Borough win - and the Match Odds betting of 4/61.67 is more than fair.
The visitors have an xG on the road of just 1.01, and facing a defence that looks so organised at the moment, Stevo can maintain their strong start.
KEY OPTA STAT: Carlisle have failed to score in six of their last eight away league games, netting just once in each of the other two. Both of their away games so far this season have been 1-0 defeats.
League Two Accumulator
Leg 1: Back Wrexham/Wrexham HT/FT v Doncaster Rovers
In the face of some serious competition, Doncaster are one of the worst teams in League Two at the moment and backers of Swindon last weekend must have been feeling rather miffed as Donny kept their first clean sheet of the season in a 0-0 draw. That doesn't mask a poor team.
They are another side with a poor xG, which is never a good thing for a trip to Wrexham, as no team has had more shots on target (44), accumulated a higher expected goals total (13.8) or scored more goals (15) than Wrexham in League Two this season.
After scoring just 37 goals in 46 League One games last season, Doncaster Rovers have scored the joint-fewest goals in League Two this season (4), and only Barrow (4.3) have a lower expected goals tally than their 4.5.
Backing the handicap looks an option, and while the Over 2.5 and 3.5 must be considered too, Donny's lack of a threat leads e to the Evens in the HT/FT market.
Dragons striker Ollie Palmer (pictured) has only one goal this term, so the dangerman could be Elliot Lee who already has five goals this term (with two from the spot).
KEY OPTA STAT: The last four Football League meetings between Wrexham and Doncaster Rovers have all ended in a draw, with the last two of those ending goalless in the 2004-05 season.
Leg 2: Back Swindon to beat Sutton United
Swindon Town have won four of their five matches against Sutton United across all competitions; they did, however, lose last time out against the Us last season (1-2), and are sitting a lot higher in the table than Saturday's opponents at the County Ground and look banker material for acca bets.
Last weekend's 0-0 with Donny was a frustrating affair with Rovers playing 45 minutes with 10 men and sticking everyone behind the ball. Indeed, Swindon's corner tally of 11-1 tells its own story.
Both of Swindon's home matches so far have been rather entertaining with a 2-2 and 6-0 win, and Town's Jake Young leads League Two this season for goals (7) and for combined goals and assists (10). Indeed, joint-second on the list for most direct goal involvements is Daniel Kemp with seven (four goals, three assists), who also plays for Swindon.
It's an attack that should have some joy this weekend and the match odds price of 20/231.87 goes into the betslip.
KEY OPTA STAT: Swindon Town have won four of their five matches against Sutton United across all competitions; they did, however, lose last time out against the Us last season (1-2).
Leg 3: Back the draw in 90 minutes Bradford v Grimsby
Bradford are slightly odds-against for Saturday against Grimsby and both are evenly matched this term with a point separating them - with Grimsby ahead.
The Bantams are drawing too many games but their two wins this season have both come in Yorkshire against Crewe and Colchester.
They are also unbeaten in their last 17 league matches against Grimsby Town (W11 D6), an unbeaten run stretching back to April 1999, with Grimsby failing to score away at Bradford City in four of their last seven league visits. The Mariners did, however, score two in their last visit - a 3-2 defeat in April.
Alex Pattison has scored three this season for Mark Hughes' men, and his fitness is key for Saturday as he suffered a tight hamstring against Wrexham in the recent Carabao Cup, but it looks as though he should be fit.
Grimsby have drawn three this season, and backing the draw could be the booster to increase our price here, and they might be a little underrated here - especially as Bradford have started in sluggish fashion. Backing in 90 minutes gives us that insurance with the draw in case of those pesky late goals.
KEY OPTA STAT: No team won more tackles last season in League Two than Bradford City with 526, while they're joint-top in the competition so far this term, along with Harrogate (69)
