"Mark Burchill's hosts have both scored and conceded in each of their last seven league games"
Tobias Gourlay's got an answer to the West Lothian question you've all been asking
Livingston v Hibernian
Wednesday 19:45
Barcelona cruised to victory in the Champions League and we were along for the ride.
We'd like to dine at Europe's top table again tonight - not least because Spanish teams have been so good to this column lately. Alas, Madrid-Madrid has been passably dealt with elsewhere on site.
So it's battered Irn Bru all round as we head to West Lothian for a taste of the Scottish Championship.
Livingston are third bottom and only two points ahead of rock-bottom Alloa, so there's no doubt they could use the points on offer from the visit of promotion-chasing Hibernian this evening.
Mark Burchill's hosts have both scored and conceded in each of their last seven league games. Most recently, the once-mighty Rangers were held to a 1-1 draw at Almondvale Stadium.
The once-mighty (though it was a lot longer ago - somewhere around 1950, we'd reckon) Hibs arrive with a record of scoring at least once in 14/16 away matches so far this season.
But Alan Stubbs' men have hardly been doing him proud at the other end of the pitch: they've kept their sheets clean in just 5/16.
With their visitors smarting, perhaps, from the weekend's Scottish Cup defeat to Falkirk, Livingston can nick something - and we'll be happy even if that's just a goal.
