Jose Mourinho has Roma flying at home this season

Paul Robinson's Sunday Daily Acca is a [14/1] treble that combines matches from the Premier League, Serie A and La Liga.

  • Spurs to return to form

  • Roma to remain unstoppable at home

  • Girona to stand tall at Barcelona

Tottenham (90mins) @ 1/12.00

Tottenham's poor form continued during the week, but they have another chance to put a win on the board this afternoon, and with Newcastle showing fatigue, the hosts are a pretty decent bet at evens.

Eddie Howe has been unable to rotate his team much thanks to an injury list as long as his arm, and his players looked pretty jaded in their 3-0 loss at Goodison Park on Thursday.

It extended their winless run on the road to four, and their only away win in the league this season came at Bramall Lane - they have lost four of their seven overall.

Roma (90mins) @ 10/111.91

Roma have climbed to fourth in Serie A, overcoming their slow start to the season. Their home form has helped them immensely, and they head into tonight on a run of five straight victories at Stadio Olimpico in the league, and seven in all competitions.

Fiorentina are the visitors, and while they are up in sixth place, they have lost five times this season - with four of those coming from their six latest outings.

Their two latest road trips saw them lose 1-0 at Lazio and AC Milan, and things don't get any easier here.

The Draw in Barcelona v Girona (90mins) @ 3/14.00

If Aston Villa being in second place in the Premier League is a surprise at this stage of the season, then Girona being second in La Liga is a shock.

Míchel took over as manager in 2021, and after leading them to a 10th placed finish last term - their first campaign back in the top flight - they have exceeded all expectations to take 38 points from their opening 15 fixtures.

Their only defeat came at home to Real Madrid, and they are set to test their mettle again tonight, as they travel to the Nou Camp. I think they can get a point though, as after drawing their opening away match of the season at Sociedad, they have gone on to beat Sevilla, Granada, Villarreal, Cadiz, Osasuna and Rayo Vallecano.

Barcelona are of course a Spanish powerhouse, but Real Madrid have won here this term, and their last five victories have all been by a narrow one goal margin.
