Vincent Kompany's Burnley were expected to do much better than they have done this season

The Premier League returns tonight, and the fixture from Turf Moor kicks-off Paul Robinson's [9/2] Daily Acca.

  • Goals in basement clash

  • Hull and Norwich to find the net

  • Strasbourg to breach the Marseille defence

BTTS in Burnley v Luton @ 3/41.75 (19:45)

The first big six-pointer of 2024 comes from Turf Moor tonight, and I am expecting both teams to score.

I think it's fair to say that Burnley have performed below market expectations this season, while Luton have probably over exceeded them.

The Hatters head north having just been involved in a couple of five goal thrillers in the league - one going their way - and in their last six away games, only Manchester United have stopped them from scoring.

The hosts have lost three on the bounce, and while they have failed to find the net in their last two here, they face easier opposition today.

BTTS in Hull v Norwich @ 4/71.57 (20:00)

Hull are hovering around the Play-off places, and while Norwich are six places below them in 13th, the difference in points is just four points.

Neither team have been winning enough football games of late though, with Hull picking up just one win in five in all competitions, and Norwich are winless in four.

They have both still been scoring goals though, and this selection has landed in four of the hosts' last five, and the same can be said for the Canaries' last two.

BTTS in Marseille v Strasbourg @ 21/202.05 (20:00)

Patrick Vieira's Strasbourg made a strong start to last season, before fading away in the second half of the campaign, and at the half-way stage of this year, they are in ninth place.

They face a tough assignment this evening, as they have to go to Marseille, but they are in great form - winning all of their last four, and being unbeaten in five.

In their last six on the road, only PSG have kept a clean sheet against them, and their last four have all seen this selection land.

Marseille don't concede many goals at home, but Clermont scored here last time, and I fancy Strasbourg to do the same.
