The Traditional 3pm Acca: Luton to lead this 15/1 Acca

Luton Town manager - Rob Edwards
Can Rob Edwards prove a lot of people wrong and keep Luton in the Premier League?

Paul Robinson has put together a Daily Acca that is around 15/116.00 for this afternoon's 3pm fixtures, and it begins at Kenilworth Road.

  • Sheffield United to come up short again

  • Wolves to see-off the Bees

  • Leicester to move one step closer to the Premier League

Leg 1 Luton (90mins) @ 4/61.67 (15:00)

Luton have already accumulated twice as many points as Sheffield United since they were both promoted to the Premier League for this season, and with home advantage and better form, the Hatters are a decent bet.

The Blades have just lost three on the bounce in all competitions, conceding 13 goals in the process. The hosts are unbeaten in six, with three victories from their last four.

Leg 2 Wolves (90mins) @ 10/111.91 (15:00)

Ivan Toney's return has helped Brentford boost their goal output a bit, but it hasn't helped them reduce it at the other end, and Wolves having been ruthless in front of goal of late.

Gary O'Neil's team return to Molineux fresh from a 2-4 victory at Stamford Bridge, and they were mightily unlucky to lose 3-4 here to Man United, previously. That is their only defeat in nine though, while the Bees have lost their last six on the road.

Leg 3 Leicester (90mins) @ 8/111.73 (15:00)

The Foxes are back in form, and with three convincing wins in a row in all competitions, it would take a brave person to oppose them at Vicarage Road.

Watford have lost their last two, and are winless in five. During that run they managed just two goals of their own, and they haven't found the net in any of their last three.

It's also worth noting that it's just a two point return from the last 15 available at home, while Leicester have recorded 11 victories from 15 road fixtures this term.

Leg 4 Blackpool (90mins) @ 5/61.84 (15:00)

Blackpool are pushing for promotion straight back into the Championship, and they can really help their cause on Saturday afternoon by beating an Oxford United side who are five points better-off than them in seventh.

The angle here is that the Seasiders have been very strong at home this season, with 10 of their 16 here ending victory - losing on just three occasions.

The visitors are winless in four in the league, and it's four defeats from their last seven on their travels.

Leg 5 Portsmouth (90mins) @ 4/71.57 (15:00)

It's bottom versus top at Burton Park on Saturday and I am expecting the long journey to be worth it for the Pompey fans.

Portsmouth are four points clear at the top of League One, but with the chasing pack all having games in hand, they can't afford any mistakes here.

Carlisle have lost their last five, while the selection have taken 10 points from their four latest outings.

Acca Wreckers

I have enjoyed watching Tottenham play this season, as have most I am sure, but 4/61.67 for them to beat Brighton is a touch skinny, and I won't be including them in any of my Accas this weekend.

Aside from their shocking 4-0 defeat at Luton at the end of January, the Seagulls have been in good form of late, and they will certainly expect to get some joy against this Spurs defence.

Arsenal are back in the title race following their excellent victory against Liverpool last weekend, but I still see holes in Mikel Arteta's side, and I couldn't back them at 4/91.44 to win at West Ham.

The Hammers aren't in great form, but their last win was actually against the Gunners - a 0-2 win at the Emirates on December 28th.

Since then it's been four draws and two defeats, but they will be well up for this, and it's just one away in four for the visitors.
