Imagine just a few years ago that little Como would even be in the Champions League at all, let alone 13/102.30 favourites against the mighty Man Utd - but that's where we are now with Michael Carrick's side 2/13.00 underdogs and mired in a six-game winless streak with only home victories against Sabah Baku and Ipswich to show for their season.
Como emerged from a three-game winless skid with victory at the weekend, and they're unbeaten in their three home games this season (W2 D1) so Cesc Fabregas will have confidence in his side given Utd have just one Champions League away win in 10.
The Red Devils have conceded at least twice in eight of 10 UCL away games while their last eight in the competition have averaged over four total goals. Como have conceded in seven of nine so far and for all United's problems they've still got plenty of ability going forward. They've had three score draws in the last four and I think they've got enough in the locker to earn another.
Two defeats in two for both of these sides, who are both doing far better domestically than in Europe, where it's very much the stoppable force meeting a moveable object as Lille have lost three European matches at home while Galatasaray have lost their last five Champions League aways - and eight of nine.
Lille take up 6/52.20 favouritism with Gala 2/13.00 and badly needing to find a creative spark, with only two sides having fewer than their 15 shots so far in the competition. But they have scored in both games so they're not without a chance here, but when there's not much between two sides struggling for European form the draw always seems like the best way forward.
A perfect record so far for Villa after a 6-0 thrashing of Fenerbahce last week made it two from two, and they're back at Villa Park for another winnable tie as the big 2/91.22 favourites. And with Viking huge 11/112.00 outsiders it looks like the fixtures have fallen kindly for the Premier League side - but the Norwegians do arrive on the back of a stunning 3-3 draw with Bayern Munich last time out.
But Unai Emery is well over that early struggle with Villa winning five of six, the last an impressive win at Newcastle, while Viking have done their absolute best with no more than 38% possession and not a great amoung of xG generated. We'll back Villa to keep them at arm's length.
The big game of the night is in Munich with Bayern 21/202.05 favourites against last year's beaten finalists Arsenal - who are 23/103.30 to make it 15 Champions League group wins in a row. The Gunners won 3-1 at the Emirates in their last meeting last season.
Bayern won 6-1 at the weekend but of course drew 3-3 at Viking last week - at the Allianz Arena they've won nine group games on the spin and an incredible 37 of their 39-game unbeaten run at this stage. In all competitions they've won five straight at home scoring at least five each time.
So will Mikel Arteta's defence keep out Harry Kane and company in another tight scuffle or will Bayern's firepower turn it into their regular shootout? We'll back a little bit of both in a score draw.
Real Madrid got out of jail big time at Roma thanks to their set pieces, and they also weren't great in their home win over Inter, but they're still 2/91.22 favourites against seriously bad travellers Leipzig - who are 9/110.00 underdogs after losing their last four in a row conceding 15 goals in the process.
Jose Mourinho always makes home form a priority and Real have won every game at the Bernabeu this season, scoring four goals in four of six outings so the threat is obvious. They should make this seven from seven and with both teams scoring in six of their last seven overall we'll back the Germans to grab a goal.
Back Real Madrid and both teams to score
A stunning victory for Brugge last week away at Inter Milan sees them installed as 21/202.05 favourites with Lens 9/43.25 underdogs in what has the ingredients to be a shootout - Lens having bagged 10 goals in five away games while Brugge have conceded 3+ goals in four of five UCL home ties.
Brugge have won eight of 10 this season so you have to fancy them, but if an expected shootout develops you never know which way that will go - I'd rather just back the goals to go flying in at both ends.
Back both teams to score 2+ goals
A disastrous start so far for Inter after that shock loss to Brugge added to narrow defeat in Madrid but surely this is the time to finally get off the mark as 2/111.18 favourites against unbeaten Shakhtar, who are 14/115.00 after a draw at PSV and home win over AEK.
This is a step up from those opening two fixtures though and they'll have to bring their shooting boots as Inter's home games have been filled with goals recently - 28 of them in fact from the last five with both teams scoring in four of those.
Back Inter win and over 3.5 goals
Two wins from two for Sporting and two defeats for LASK, so no surprises to see the Portuguese giants 1/51.20 while the Austrians are 11/112.00 after their 6-3 pasting by Liverpool last week.
LASK did score three though, and followed up with four at the weekend and while they lost 1-0 at AEK in Greece in matchday one they'll know they have to offer more of a threat here. They'll play into Sporting's hands but also can bring the visitors a goal - as four of five have seen both teams score in Lisbon.
Back Sporting win and both teams to score
Betis are another side with a 100% record so far and they're 4/71.57 to keep that run going against a 4/15.00 Feyenoord side in another game that seems to have the right formula for goals. Both teams have scored in six of seven for Betis and in Feyenoord's last eight Champions League aways.
After three straight 1-0s at home, Betis have gone 5-2, 3-2, 2-5 on home soil, while Feyenoord's last five aways have averaged over six goals a game. If those trends continue we could have another shootout - I think it'll be closer than the odds suggest but have to side with the hosts.
Back Betis and over 3.5 goals
