Belgians have already qualified

Club Brugge have fared far better than they were expected to in Group B and will be defending an unbeaten record when they host Porto.

The Belgians have already qualified for the knockout stages of the Champions League after just four games. Drawn alongside Porto, Atletico Madrid and Bayer Leverkusen, Brugge were the rank outsiders in Group B before a ball had been kicked, but they've since made a mockery of that assessment.

Carl Hoefkens' side have yet to concede a goal in four games (W3 D1). With a four point advantage over second placed Porto, they will now be looking to win the group and confirm themselves a seeded position in the round of 16.

That would be quite an achievement for a club that lost a number of their best players over the summer, including the highly-rated Charles De Ketelaere. Their Champions League campaign has also stood in contrast to their form in the First Division A, with Brugge currently third in the table, some eight points behind the leaders Genk.

Porto are also third in their domestic league, having lost 1-0 to the leaders Benfica over the weekend. They lost their first two Champions League games, including the reverse fixture, before winning their last two outings against Bayer Leverkusen, to put themselves in second place in the group.

Big price for Brugge

Porto are the 2.285/4 favourites, with Club Brugge at 3.4549/20 and the draw at 3.5551/20.

That's a big price available for Brugge considering their form so far, especially from a defensive perspective. They beat Porto 4-0 in Portugal, so it's strange to see the visitors as solid favourites here.

Club Brugge only need a draw to win the group, so play it safe and back them to avoid defeat in the Double Chance market at 1.758/11.
