Islamabad United v Quetta Gladiators PSL Tips

Rain ruined United's match against Zalmi on Tuesday with the match abandoned without a ball bowled. The good news is that the forecast is much improved for this one. No rain is forecast but it does look like being a cloudy, humid day.

This will be the ninth match played at the Gaddafi Stadium this tournament and it is reasonable to reckon that the pitch is beginning to suffer. Lahore's 128 against Kings on Sunday could be a sign that batting is going to get tricky. Inclement weather won't help.

There has now been significant traffic on the square and although we're not arguing that all the matches have been played on the same strip, surely we're now into the realms of games being played on used surfaces.

Playing unders on the highest total match runs line with Quetta at 168.5 makes sense and is a good starting point. Sportsbook offer 5/61.84. No fifty in the match may also have appeal at 9/25.50.

There are eight games left on this first leg of the competition, all hosted in Lahore. That latter price could be one to hit consistently between now and the switch to Karachi. It would be a surprise if it didn't produce a profit over those matches.

If pitches are getting slower and lower, then a move to backing the lower order for big-priced top-bat wins may make sense. Chris Green and Imad Wasim may fit the bill at 17s and 22 respectively for United.

Karachi Kings v Rawalpindi Pindiz PSL Tips

Karachi Kings are two from two having defeated Lahore in a thriller last time out. They could well be suited to the potential of attritional surfaces in Lahore before moving back to their home city.

They are packed with batting nous in the shape of David Warner, Moeen Ali and Salman Agha. That experienced trio should be capable of working out quickly what a good score is on these wearing wickets.

Kings can then bowl 12 overs of mean spin with Adam Zampa leading the way. Moeen's performance (1pt per run, 10 per catch and 20 per wicket) is of interest at over 38.5 at 5/61.84. It's cheaper than Salman at 42.5.

Pindiz have played only once so far, losing to Zalmi by five wickets. They failed to defend 214, which was not particularly surprising given that they used only five bowlers. Amad Butt and Khamran Ghulam, both all-rounders, did not get a chance to bowl. That will surely be rectified.

If the surfaces at Lahore are beginning to wear and get slower, Rishad Hossain should be more dangerous. He is one of our favourite players in the world to follow on the top bowler market. The 3/14.00 that he takes most wickets for Pindiz is solid

In the spirit of a search for a big-priced lower-order winners, Hasan Ali is teasing at 80s. The no fifty market for this game is priced at 5/16.00
