This is a corker of a PSL contest with the unbeaten Zalmi taking on Sultans, who they disposed at the top pof the table. Sultans have won four of their five matches.
Zalmi had played only once by April 8 and then won three in four days to come from nowehere to take top spot. They crushed Lahore by 76 runs last time out and will have been cheered by not being too reliant on Babar Azam this term. Kusal Mendis has stepped up and the pair have dovetailed brilliantly.
Sultans have not played for a week and you wonder whether momentum and rhythm will be key for this one. Sahibzada Farhan and Steve Smith, definitely a rhythm player, have been blitzing teams up front.
They are outsiders at 2.1411/10 and that does seem fair. We have consistently said that Sultans are a one-trick pony who can hit but struggle to keep things tight in the field. Their bowling attack lacks potency, with Peter Siddle the attack leader, while some of the fielding has been off the mark. Zalmi are more rounded and have the top wicket-taker in the tournament in spinner Sufiyan Muqeem.
Smith is coming back into the win zone for top bat and it may pay to make peace to back him until he wins. He has shown solid, reliable form so far and the 12/53.40 is not too shabby. For Zalmi, Babar has one win so far which, by his standards, is below par.Betfair Sportsbook rate him at 15/82.88.
Alternatively, dutching the pair at 15/28.50 for man of the match is fair. As has often been stated, the relationship between the top bat of the winning team and man of the match is more than solid.

Peshawar Zalmi v Quetta Gladiators PSL Tips
Quetta are playing for one of the two slots outside the top two in reality. Regardless of what happens in Zalmi v Sultans, this is being lined up as a difficult 40 overs.
Although they have won twice from five, Quetta have beaten only Rawalpindi and Hyderabad. The two worse teams in the tournament. Sure, Hyderabad have picked up since but they weren't competitive when they met Quetta.
Each time Quetta have come up against some form of efficiency, either against Islamanad or Multan, they have been heavily beaten. Their batting is weak by franchise standards while it is arguable that they boast only Abrar Ahmed as a bowler of true international repute. Alzarri Joseph has once again proved to be wild and expensive.
Abrar will be one to watch on the performance markets while a lower-order play on top bat with Tom Curran at decent numbers is in the offing. There is very little to beat.
