"Roddy White has 266 receiving yards and three touchdowns over that span and he will look to continue his hot streak against Dallas' 26th-ranked pass defense."
Offence expected to have the upper hand this Sunday in Dallas says Andy Richmond.
While the Dallas Cowboys had a profitable bye week, they know it's up to them to make it really pay off. The Atlanta Falcons should provide an excellent example of the kind of improving team they'd like to become.
The Falcons will get their first look at Cowboys Stadium on Sunday against a Dallas squad that has won its two previous games following byes under Coach Wade Phillips. The Falcons play their second consecutive game against a team coming off a bye. That's tough - especially on the road but they face a Dallas side which has issues in its secondary and they will look to exploit those not only on the arm of QB Matt Ryan but also on the ability of WR Roddy White whose recent form is explosive. The Falcons' Pro Bowl receiver started slowly this season, but he has picked it up in the last two weeks. He has 266 receiving yards and three touchdowns over that span and he will look to continue his hot streak against Dallas' 26th-ranked pass defense.
That's not to say that Atlanta are perfect on defence and they have had problems stopping the run, an area that Dallas will look to exploit especially if they can get RB Felix Jones healthy, that will take the pressure off QB Tony Romo who has been careless and sloppy with the football this year as he bids to live up to the legacy of great Dallas quarterbacks.
There are some potential big plays in this game and it could turn into a shootout.
RECOMMENDATION: Over 46.5 match points ½ point at 2.0 or better plus ½ point Atlanta +3.5 pts at 2.0 or better
