Timeform run the rule over the field for the PHS Washroom Hand Sanitiser Range Conditions Stakes (2).

A race that revolves around Alexandros, whose Lockinge second represents the best form on offer. He hasn't been seen since finishing lame at Royal Ascot, though, and there could be some mileage in taking him on with his capable stablemate Young Pretender. The remainder all have something to prove for now - perhaps mudlark Smokey Oakey will do best of them.

Plum Pudding is a Newmarket specialist who has been as good as ever this year, landing the Bunbury Cup off a mark of 105 and then a good third in Group 2 company in August. Below par at the weekend and the ground is likely to be too soft here.

Alexandros has been much-improved this year, notably when a nose second in the Group 1 Lockinge Stakes in May despite his rider dropping his whip. He flopped at Royal Ascot but is better than that and has leading claims.

European Dream is still a capable hurdler but has been lightly raced and had little impact on the Flat in recent years. Stiff task on these terms.

General Elliott was first past the post in a listed race at Ascot in April, but has been well below form in three starts since. He will have no problem with conditions but has something to prove for now. Cheekpieces the new headgear of choice.

Pawan usually runs above himself when tried in conditons races but this looks even tougher than normal.

Smokey Oakey likes the ground very soft, but doesn't look as good as he once was. His stable are in fair form but he looks up against it in this field.

Young Pretender has been lightly raced for Godolphin but shown enough in two runs this year to think he retains all his ability. Good second at Doncaster last time and should give a good account.
