Timeform run the rule over the Rex Carter Memorial Handicap Chase (3)...

The two last-time-out winners are as unreliable as most in this field and predicting the outcome is an unenviable task, but a chance is taken on Foolish Myth, because of his trainer as much as anything. Megaton bounced back from a poor run to win this last year and might do something similar again, and Leopold's record at the track is enough to think he may reach a place.

Rakalackey is a lazy performer who's been hit-and-miss pretty much throughout his career. He was third in the English Summer National in 2008 and it could be that's the target again having been missing the last six months.

Megaton took a while to warm to fences but showed improved form in handicaps early last season, winning this race. He is now 12-lb higher and still doesn't convince with his jumping but could bounce back again.

Livingonaknifedge is a fair handicapper on his day, winning at Cartmel over an extended two-miles-and-five-furlongs last summer. He has been let down by his jumping most of the time, however.

Big Rob is always hard to predict, even at Huntingdon, where his last three wins have come. Percentage call is to oppose.

Toni Alcala is a temperamental jumper who's run all his best races in the last year or so at Huntingdon, winning there at the start of the month. Best option is to take him on here.

Alfadora's erratic jumping often spoils his chance over fences but he has been back to his best of late, winning at Uttoxeter a week ago. A penalty will make things more difficult and again, he needs to avoid mistakes.

Leopold is a consistent chaser with a good record at Fakenham, winning twice and second twice. All previous attempts to score off mark over 100, and there have been plenty, have ended in failure, however.

Foolish Myth is a winning pointer/hunter chaser who was running well when falling in a handicap on his debut for top stable last summer. He had a problem both starts after but fitness is unlikely to be an issue despite absence.
