Timeform run the rule over the field for Friday's Richmond Stakes...
Some smart prospects on show, and Dick Turpin can continue Richard Hannon's golden spell with his juveniles. He has looked very useful on both his starts to date and can prove too strong for Rakaan and the equally promising Showcasing.
Bould Mover picked up a couple of minor events in good style earlier in the summer and was not disgraced in the Molecomb here on Tuesday. He is not sure to appreciate the extra furlong though and others have stronger claims.
Buzzword confirmed his debut promise when a ready winner of a Windsor maiden earlier in the month. He is open to further improvement and is one of the more interesting contenders.
Dick Turpin looked the part when landing a Windsor maiden on debut and confirmed himself to be very smart when bolting up in a minor event at Salisbury last time. He remains capable of better and is a leading contender.
Ghostwing was an easy winner of an Ayr maiden on his second start and was not disgraced in a Group 2 last time (outpaced early but staying on). More is needed in this field and he may do better over further in time.
Lucky Like put in a fair effort in listed company on debut and went close in a Chantilly maiden last time. This looks considerably tougher and it is easy enough to take him on.
Moran Gra left his debut effort behind him when running out a cosy winner at Leopardstown in June. He looked ready for a step up to seven furlongs when fourth in the Coventry Stakes last time and this may be too sharp for him now.
Nosedive made a winning debut at Sandown but put in a much better effort upped to Group 2 company at Ascot on his second start. He disappointed at Newmarket last time though and more is needed here.
Rakaan was no match for Canford Cliffs on debut and was again chasing that rival's shadow when third in the Coventry Stakes last time. His stable's juveniles continue to go well and he couldn't be ruled out..
Showcasing got close to subsequent Group winner Arcano on debut (raced worked out well) and made no mistake at Yarmouth subsequently. He is a smart prospect and this will be a better guide to his talents.
Stargaze improved with each start in maidens, getting off the mark at the third attempt when making all at Lingfield in May. He returned from a break with a win at Bath but this is much tougher.
