No shortage of opportunities on Friday with six meetings. By far the best of those is at Newbury with a decent two-year-old listed race providing the highlight of the day. I have two fancied bets at the Berkshire venue this afternoon.

Walkingonthemoon (3.10) hails from the Tom Dascomble stable who has very quickly established itself as a top outfit with youngsters. Eight runners go to post but Dascombe's colt has the best form in the book, certainly last time's second in the Woodcote Stakes is decent. A neck second to Corporal Maddox looks good enough to win here but there could be a couple of improvers in the field to give Walkingonthemoon a good race. I would suggest that we should be on to a solid bet with our selection though. Back Walkingonthemoon to win is my advice.

I am very keen Godolphin's Ashram (4.55) in this conditions event. He takes a class drop, having run well in a group three contest (Jersey Stakes) at Royal Ascot last time. A repeat of that third place effort should see Frankie Dettori bring him home in front and confirm his official rating as the best horse in the field. The stable are certainly in form with 10 winners in the last 14 days and we should take full advantage of that momentum with Ashram.

Hopefully we will land a decent double, then it's Super Sprint day on Saturday!
