Betfair Ambassador Gordon Elliott discusses his two Fairyhouse runners; Rocky Wednesday and Pumped Up Kicks...
12.45 Fairyhouse - Rocky Wednesday
It's a competitive race so he'll need things to fall right if he's to finish in the money. As I've said before, he's a tricky enough character but he showed some reasonable form when runner-up at Navan, and then finished a somewhat disappointing eighth (of 16 runners) at Leopardstown over the Christmas Festival. He got a bit boxed in at Leopardstown which wasn't ideal although it's hard to say whether he would have finished any closer on the day. If he gets a 'going day' and all goes well, he could be in with a chance but on paper, he has a good bit to do here.
15.30 Fairyhouse - Pumped Up Kicks
We took a chance with her first race under rules and put her straight into a hurdle at Limerick where she ran fairly well when fourth of 11 runners back in late November. She missed a couple of days training afterwards because of some minor ailments but she's in good form at home and we are going to ease her back into racing with a bumper here. She's a nice horse and we'll know a bit more after this race but looking at the card, I'd say she's in with a decent each-way chance.
