The latest news on Sunday's Arc de Triomphe undercard...
Top-class miler Goldikova will face a maximum of nine rivals in the Prix de la Foret in her bid to land a 15th Group/Grade 1 win. Successful in this race 12 months ago when beating Paco Boy by half a length, Freddie Head's wondermare will once again be using this race as a stepping stone to the Breeder's Cup Mile (currently [4.2] on Betfair), where she will seek a historic fourth win.
Major opposition to Goldikova on Sunday could come in the form of July Cup winner Dream Ahead and the Charles O'Brien-trained Bewitched, who will both be stepping back up in trip to seven furlongs.
Adding international intrigue to the event is the Italian-trained Worthadd, runner-up behind Canford Cliffs in the Lockinge, and the German six-year-old Alianthus, who has been beaten only once this season.
Also taking place on Sunday is the Prix Marcel Boussac, where Maybe could look to enhance her claim for next year's 1000 Guineas; With a Timeform rating of 117p, she is the highest rated two year-old filly in Europe.
The Prix Jean-Luc Lagardere, won last year by Wootton Bassett, this year features the unbeaten Dabirsim, who is second only to Harbour Watch in the top two year-old's list, with a Timeform rating of 119p.
