Clippers getting it done

These two teams met just a couple of nights ago and the Clippers came out on top with a 108-101 win. They looked to have been cruising to a win but a sloppy fourth quarter allowed the Warriors back in. Kawhi Leonard and Paul George turned it on down the stretch though and really took the game over with five minutes.

The stats this season do not exactly stand out. They are pretty average in scoring defence and offence. But where they have really excelled is shooting from range. They are hitting 14 threes a game at the league's second highest rate. We all know how good Steph Curry and the Warriors are at shooting so keeping that going could be key for the Clippers.

Warriors lacking the required depth

Before that loss Golden State had been on a very good run. Four wins in five after an 0-2 start had really got them back on track. Any team with Curry in it is going to have a chance to win games. But the team really lacks depth. Once you get passed Curry, Kelly Oubre, Draymond Green and Andrew Wiggins it is a lot of inexperienced players. Curry is day to day but looks likely to play in this game.

Defensively they have not been good enough. They are giving up 119.5 points per game right now and no matter how good your scoring is, you are not going to win too many games like that.

LA can head home with a win

I think the Warriors will always have a puncher's chance, but the Clippers are just a more complete team. LA won the meeting between the two teams earlier this week and that game probably should have been won by a bigger margin. The Clippers are one of the best teams in the league and they can show that tonight.
