Gordon Hayward has started strong for the Hornets

"Hayward has been playing very well since moving over from the Celtics, including 44 against tonight’s opponents earlier this week."

The Hornets can upset the Hawks as they look to make it three wins in four nights in Charlotte, thinks Dave Gray...

Clippers getting it done

The Hawks started fast but have really dropped off with a three game losing streak. Trae Young is a star in the making, if he isn't already there, but he has not been playing well. He has had way too many turnovers and in Thursday's loss to the Hornets he put up just seven points. He is far too good for this to continue but the Atlanta team is built around him. So until he finds some form then they will continue to struggle. He will work his way out of this slump, but tonight may not be the night.

One advantage they could have in this game is they have had a break since Wednesday's game. While Charlotte fly home for the rematch of that game after a win over the Pelicans last night. It is their third game in four nights.

Warriors lacking the required depth

The Hornets were down big early on last night but Gordon Hayward led them back for a 118-110 win. He has been playing very well since moving over from the Celtics, including 44 against tonight's opponents earlier this week.

LaMelo Ball's NBA career has gotten off to a strong start. As his minutes increase over the season he will improve on his current average of 12 points, five assists and five rebounds. When he is on the court he looks like he can make something happen and he came just one assist short of becoming the youngest player ever to record a triple double in the NBA when going up against his brother and the Pelicans last night.

LA can head home with a win

The Hornets are just a team in better form. Back-to-back games are a lot easier to deal with when you are winning. If anything they can build momentum. Charlotte is at 4-5 but they have played one of the toughest schedules in the league. They can make it three wins in four nights and get back to .500.
