Bidsta's sales price more than tripled to 380,000 guineas at the breeze-ups earlier this year and she showed plenty of promise when narrowly beaten on debut at Newbury three weeks ago.

She was beaten only by a more experienced rival on that occasion, but that experience won't be lost on her, and she looks a sure-fire improver now.

Bidsta held entries in the Rockfel and Cheveley Park Stakes at the time, which suggests she's held in high regard, and she has been found a very good opening here.

Brighton Beach built on her previous promise to open her account at the third attempt at Thirsk last month, looking more the finished article than she had previously.

She also shaped very well on her handicap debut over a similar trip to this at Goodwood recently despite not being suited by the steady gallop, outpaced from an early stage but doing all of her best work at the finish.

Brighton Beach was given the Horse In Focus Flag, highlighting her as a horse to keep on side, and she can prove herself on a good mark now with this stiffer track sure to suit.

Talitha Rouge had been shaping like she had a bigger effort in the locker and it all came together over a mile and a quarter at Redcar last week.

She was well backed against her elders and duly showed much improved form, the last one to come off the bridle having travelled well throughout, and easily putting the race to bed from a furlong out.

Connections have wisely turned her out under a penalty - she is 4lb clear on Timeform weight-adjusted ratings - and will prove hard to beat if in anywhere near the same form.
