Gingerbred was a winner over fences from a mark of 100 for Philip Hobbs & Johnson White a couple of seasons ago, but he lost his way for Carrol Gray afterwards, and his handicap mark plummeted as a result.
However, he attracted plenty of support on his debut for Joe Tizzard at Ffos Las recently, and he never gave his supporters much to worry about, shaken up and produced to lead at the second-last and asserted away for a comfortable success.
A subsequent 7lb rise in the weights leaves him well handicapped on old form and, with this drop in trip not expected to pose a problem, he makes plenty of appeal in his follow up bid - indeed, he's 5lb clear on Timeform weight-adjusted ratings.

This looks a good race for the grade, with several potential improvers on show, and it seems sure to throw up future winners.
It is Corner Forward who makes the most appeal, though, with this step up to two and a half miles sure to suit him on both pedigree and run style.
He was well beaten in his first four starts over hurdles, and he was also easy to back on his handicap debut at Ffos Las on his final start in April. Corner Forward shaped like a horse who was in need of much more of a stamina test on that occasion, but he still ran his best race to date, suggesting he's been handed a fair opening mark.
Anthony Honeyball has made a good start to the season and, with Harry Cobdon taking over in the saddle for the first time, Corner Forward could prove a different proposition on his return to action.

Colombier was a four-time winner before joining Hamad Al Jehani and he left the form of his stable debut well behind when winning a competitive handicap at Epsom on Oaks day earlier this year.
He settled better than previously that day and displayed a cracking attitude in the finish, and he has since shaped very well in some more top-end handicaps.
Colombier was arguably unlucky not to win at Glorious Goodwood two starts back, dropped in at the rear from the worst of the draw and never getting the breaks to open up at the business end of the race.
He again wasn't best placed at Longchamp last month, not seen to best effect posted wide on the course and his jockey looked after him once his chance had gone. Colombier still figures on an attractive mark and he has fared much better with the draw on this occasion, so he's well worth another chance to prove himself well treated switched to the all-weather.
