15:30 Brighton - In-form Silca Bay to win again

Silca Bay has done much of his racing on the all-weather for Eve Johnson Houghton, but he's proving at least as good on turf this summer with wins at Goodwood and Newmarket in the last few months.

He overcame trouble in-running to gain a first turf win at Goodwood in June and came from last to first to get his head back in front at Newmarket last time, earning the 'Horse In Focus' flag.

Silca Bay clearly gets on well with 7 lb claimer Oliver Carmichael and heading the Timeform weight-adjusted ratings he holds strong claims in a race his trainer and jockey have won for the last two years.

16:15 Pontefract - Betweenthesticks can repeat last year's win

Pontefract's stiff five furlongs evidently suits Ruth Carr's sprinter Betweenthesticks really well as he's earned the 'Horses For Courses' flag for his efforts at the track and should make another bold bid.

He held on to make all the running at 33/1 in this race last year and was successful again on his next visit to Pontefract in the spring when following up an earlier success at Wolverhampton.

Betweenthesticks has also recorded a couple of solid placed efforts over course and distance on his last two starts but is now back on his last winning mark, heading the Timeform weight-adjusted ratings.

20:20 Kempton - Jumeirah Sands with potential up in trip

Jumeirah Sands has done all her racing on the all-weather for Ismail Mohammed & Jose Santos, winning two of her five starts, and the step up to seven furlongs for the first time could well see her successful again.

Raced only over six so far, she began her season with wins in a couple of novices at Southwell and has since shaped well in defeat from wide draws in handicaps at Kempton and Wolverhampton.

Jumeirah Sands stayed on for a close fourth last time behind Jungle Drums after having to concede plenty of ground, earning the 'Horse In Focus' flag, and remains with potential going up in trip.
