Does He Know returns on a reduced mark
Kingston Sunflower ran up a hat-trick for Fergal O'Brien in the autumn of 2022 and, now back with her former yard after a mainly Flat campaign for another stable, she looks poised to repeat that feat in the mares' handicap hurdle at Ludlow.
The likeable front-runner had been off the track for over a year until returning this autumn, and after a run on the Flat she ran out a six-length winner of a conditional jockeys' race over today's course and distance in October, her second course win which means she has the 'Horses For Courses' flag. She then followed up from a 7 lb higher mark at Huntingdon last time when going with her usual zest in front.
Clearly in fine heart again back with O'Brien, Kingston Sunflower looks capable of defying another 4 lb rise in the weights to complete a hat-trick under trainer's daughter Fern.

Ryan Moore returns from over three months off with a stress fracture to his femur and he could be successful on his first day back at Lingfield with Morrophore in the fillies' handicap.
The lightly-raced four-year-old has missed a good part of the year herself, being absent for five months after storming to a near five-length win in a fillies' handicap at Ascot in May. She looked decidedly rusty on her return at Newmarket in October but that race didn't work out at all well for her. After a slow start, she was left poorly placed in a race where the first dominated throughout in a contest run with a strong tailwind. Morrophore only made some late gains to finish fourth but without being given a remotely hard time.
John & Thady Gosden have the 'Hot Trainer' flag, while with Moore in the saddle Morrophore also has the 'Jockey Uplift' flag. Morrophore is proven on an all-weather surface, having won at Wolverhampton last season, and she can show that she's much better than her latest start, heading the Timeform weight-adjusted ratings.

Does He Know looks the clear pick of the weights in Haydock's veterans' handicap chase where he is 6 lb ahead of the next horse in the Timeform weight-adjusted ratings.
The ten-year-old's last win came the Grimthorpe Handicap Chase at Doncaster in 2024 when he carried 12-0 to victory against only one other finisher after the rest of the field pulled up in very testing conditions. While Does He Know ran creditably at Cheltenham and Doncaster in the first half of his 2024/25 campaign, he couldn't sustain his form into the spring and was a remote third of four finishers when last seen at Cheltenham in April.
However, the handicapper has responded accordingly and dropped Does He Know 6 lb since last season which makes him look potentially well treated for this return. He also make his reappearance at a time when Kim Bailey & Mat Nicholls have their string in good form, having the 'Hot Trainer' flag.
