Glamorize showed promise amidst greenness on debut at Lingfield in May, bumping into another promising filly, and she ran as well as could be markedly up in grade in the Albany Stakes at Royal Ascot next time.

She faced a stiff task there, but did show improved form, and landed good support fitted with first-time cheekpieces when opening her account over this course and distance earlier this month.

Glamorize was outpaced when the pace lifted two furlongs out, but she stuck to her task well to, doing all of her best work in the final furlong to win by a length from the odds-on favourite. An opening mark of 84 looks fair enough and there should be even more to come from her.

Distant Shore is bred to be useful and she looked just that when dead-heating on her debut over six furlongs at Salisbury on her sole start last season, sure to have won outright with another stride.

She still looked rough around the edges on her return from 10 months off under a 7lb penalty at Thirsk in May, and it was a similar story on her handicap debut at Carlisle next time when she was friendless in the betting.

However, she took a big step forward when catching the eye at Sandown last month, looking more clued up and was arguably unlucky not to collect, conceding first run on the winner and only just failing to get up. She was well suited by the step up to a mile on that occasion and she's one to keep on the right side - she has the Horse In Focus Flag.

Oisin Murphy is three from five when riding for Rod Millman this season and the booking of him on Curran looks a sign of intent.

Millman is going along much better than he was earlier in the season and he left the form of his stable debut well behind when winning over this trip at Bath last month, beating a next-time-out winner.

Curran has ran to a similar level in stronger handicaps since, and is now just 1lb higher than that winning mark. This looks a thin contest and a similar performance should see him hard to beat.
