14:30, Lingfield - Top-rated Shiffra to see off 'Horse In Focus'

Shiffra was clear with Pureis King - who was successful on his next two starts - when landing a turf classified event here in June and looks on a favourable mark back in a handicap.

Top on Timeform's weight-adjusted ratings, the Postponed filly has been given a near-two-month break since that win under today's 5-lb claiming jockey Seamus Cronin, and can continue her progress from this handicap mark of 51 now she's got her head in front.

The big danger could be Crazy Plan who caught the eye in defeat at Wolverhampton last time, but she's unproven on turf and didn't shape like this drop in trip was needed when running on well over further last month.

19:45 Nottingham - Thirsk eye-catcher Moulin Booj to go one better

Moulin Booj didn't do a lot wrong when second trying to win a Thirsk handicap for the second time 10 days ago and a repeat of that level may well suffice.

George Scott has his horses in good form at present - he currently has the Timeform 'Hot Trainer' flag - and his six-year-old is currently on the same mark as when successful at Wolverhampton in March.

With Tom Marquand booked for the ride, this talented hold-up performer is fancied to pick up the frontrunners Forager, Jax Edge and Grandlad late in the piece.

20:15, Nottingham - Well-treated Thunderous Love to relish return to track

Thunderous Love went like the best horse at the weights when beaten into second at Salisbury last month, paying the price for going home a long way out in a strongly-run race, but only picked up by a filly who has been rejuvenated by a switch to blinkers (winner again since).

A two-time C&D winner, with most of her other victories coming at Newbury and Salisbury where a turn of foot is often crucial, the Johnny Portman-trained 'Horse In Focus' looks the best bet on the card.
