Bobbi With An I had to settle for second at Wincanton last time but she produced a promising effort and may well have come out on top under more favourable circumstances.

Bobbi With An I impressed with how smoothly she moved through the race, looking like a well-handicapped mare, but she conceded first run to the winner and that may have proved crucial in a tactical contest.

Concert Boy has won twice and finished placed on the other four starts during a productive all-weather campaign at Newcastle this winter.

He was probably sent for home too soon when runner-up to a similarly thriving rival on his penultimate start, but he quickly made amends only four days later when cruising into the lead on the bridle inside the final couple of furlongs and then powering four lengths clear.

The style of that success earned Concert Boy the Horse In Focus Flag from Timeform's reporter and he still looks fairly treated despite going up 9 lb in the weights. He narrowly heads Timeform's weight-adjusted ratings and should give another good account at a venue where he has compiled such a solid record.
