Timeform pick out the horses to note on Sunday

Timeform highlight three horses of interest at Doncaster and Ascot on Sunday.

14:55, Doncaster - Sectional flag key to Golden Strike chance

With front-runner Jimmy Speaking in the field, they should hopefully they go quick enough for Golden Strike who came home with a rattle on the all-weather last time and should have more to offer back on turf.

The Richard and Peter Fahey-trained five-year-old tops Timeform's weight-adjusted ratings having rattled home at Newcastle earlier this month and, with Oisin Orr taking over in the saddle, is fancied to record a fourth career success on ground that suits(two turf wins came on soft and good).

15:30, Doncaster - Top-rated C&D winner Stanage the one to beat

Cases can be made for any number of these but the most persuasive is for Stanage, who was a shock winner of one of the divisions of this race last season and the suspicion is fresh may well be the best time to catch him.

The Michael and David Easterby-trained five-year-old has the 'horses for courses' flag having run well on four of his five starts here, with his only poor run coming on very testing ground.

The going should be much more in his favour here and he is now 7 lb lower than when successful at this meeting 12 months ago.

16:15, Ascot - Handicap debutant Joyau Allen tops the ratings

The unexposed Ditcheat representative Joyau Allen gets the nod on handicap debut with his trainer Paul Nicholls having a 23% strike-rate at this time of the year.

The market got it right in this race 12 months ago when favourite Native Moon prevailed, and Joyau Allen is likely to be towards the head of the betting having shaped as if getting the hang of things in novice hurdles.

Runner-up on his sole start in Irish points, this longer trip should suit this brother to the Champion Bumper and Ryanair Chase winner Envoi Allen, and the lightly-raced seven-year-old is fancied to break his duck.
