15:15 Ayr - Ground has come right again for Star Cast

Gemma Tutty has given her likeable filly Star Cast a break since mid-June, presumably because of the prolonged dry spell, but she returns at Ayr where there's the promise of a bit of give in the ground.

Star Cast enjoyed a fine spell of form earlier in the year, winning six times, twice on soft ground, with her most recent success coming over course and distance, earning her the 'Horses For Courses' flag.

Following up a win at Chester the week before, Star Cast would have won more convincingly last time but for idling close home, and she still looks well treated, being 3 lb clear in the Timeform weight-adjusted ratings.

16:00 Kempton - Fallacious Promise can turn the tables

A couple of the runners in Kempton's mile handicap, Roi de Coeur and Fallacious Promise, met over the same course and distance just over a month ago when the verdict went to Marco Botti's gelding.

However, 'Hot Trainer' John Butler's Fallacious Promise can turn that form around as he was left with plenty to do after finding trouble but came through to beat the rest emphatically, earning the 'Horse In Focus' flag.

A facile winner at Lingfield two days before that, Fallacious Promise has been progressing well and has a big shout despite a 4 lb rise in the weights, heading the Timeform weight-adjusted ratings.

17:45 Windsor - Mythological Star to make light of penalty

The sole three-year-old in the line-up for this apprentice contest, Daniel & Claire Kubler's Mythological Star stands out as the progressive sort in the field and can follow up last week's win at Ffos Las.

Closely related to the stable's smart Cambridgeshire winner Astro King, Mythological Star made a successful handicap debut when landing the odds under Billy Loughnane, earning the 'Horse In Focus' flag.

Not yet the finished article, his 6 lb penalty doesn't look enough to stop him against older rivals as he heads the Timeform weight-adjusted ratings with Christian Howarth in the saddle here.
