Wise And Wonderful continued the theme of gradual progress when opening her account over this course and distance last month, doing so in straightforward fashion.
She contested the lead and showed a good turn of foot to quicken clear around two furlongs out, well in command in the final furlong and just needing to be pushed out for a comfortably success.
Wise And Wonderful also shaped better than the bare result in a hot nursery at Glorious Goodwood a fortnight ago, soon hopelessly placed from a poor draw but she caught the eye with how she finished her race despite encountering trouble.
She was given the Horse In Focus Flag as a result, marking her out as one to follow and, back in a lesser race, Wise And Wonderful is expected to prove herself one a good mark with further improvement forthcoming.

This looks a potentially hot conditions race, with five of the six runners all last-time-out winners, but Evenfall created an excellent impression when making a winning debut at Yarmouth recently, and looks one to follow.
She was all the rage in the betting, starting the odds-on favourite, and she proved very professional in a strongly-run race, travelling fluently and quickening up nicely to put the race to bed in the final furlong.
The timefigure gives the visual performance extra substance, while the runner-up won well at Musselburgh next time to strengthen the form further. Evenfall looks potentially smart and is expected to prove herself just that in this stronger race.

Ice Cube had left the impression he was in much better heart than his form figures suggested this season, his run at Newmarket two starts ago not getting to the bottom of him, and he belatedly proved himself well handicapped when opening his account over this course and distance last month.
He was dropped into an easier grade of handicap and, having attracted hefty support in the market, he proved much too good for his rivals in what wasn't a strongly-run race.
Ice Cube failed to settle, but made good headway from two furlongs out, and quickened nicely to win going away in the final 100 yards. That performance can be marked up further when taking his closing sectional into account - he has the Sectional Flag - and a subsequent 3lb rise in the weights almost certainly underestimates him
