Newmarket's card is boosted by the addition of the St Simon Stakes rescued from last weekend's abandoned Newbury meeting and 'Hot Trainer' Charlie Appleby's Aegean Prince looks the one to benefit most.
The four-year-old clearly hasn't been easy to train but that hasn't stopped him improving each time he has made it to the track, and he couldn't have been more impressive on his return at Haydock last month.
Carrying top weight in the Old Borough Cup, Aegean Prince was eased down to win by seven and a half lengths, earning the 'Horse In Focus' flag, and that very smart effort makes him top rated at the weights here.

Dan Skelton won the premier handicap chase at Wetherby 12 months ago with Thistle Ask and has a good chance of being successful again, this time with Kingston Narcissus who heads the Timeform ratings.
A wide margin winner at Hexham in May on his chasing debut for Rebecca Menzies, he was kept going over the summer on joining Skelton but has found one too good in all three of his starts so far for his new yard.
However, he was unfortunate not to land the Summer Plate at Market Rasen when last seen in July, beaten a neck having been hampered by a faller four out. With the 'Horse In Focus' flag, he can go one better.

Michael Herrington is enjoying a fine season and one of the Lincolnshire trainer's success stories is Elyam who has proved a bargain buy since being picked up from Richard Hannon's stable for 14,000 guineas.
Returning from more than two years off the track, Elyam showed his rivals a clean pair of heels when successful twice at Southwell in September, cruising home in a novice and then a cosy winner of a handicap.
Clearly well suited by five furlongs, Elyam has the 'Horse In Focus' flag and should be hard to stop in his hat-trick bid, being 3 lb clear in the Timeform weight-adjusted ratings with further improvement to come.
