Two-year-old newcomers are always worth respecting in novice events at Yarmouth so Good Job (Harry Charlton) and Spong Hill (Marco Botti) are horses to keep an eye on in the betting, but of those to have raced it could be worth siding with Status Symbol.

Ed Walker's Space Blues colt went off at 50/151.00 on his debut towards the end of last month but belied the SP with an encouraging run in fourth.

He showed quite bright speed from stall nine to take up a prominent early pitch and while shaken up a couple of furlongs from the finish, stayed on well after briefly being hampered in the home straight. He will be much wiser for the experience and could make it second time lucky now switched to turf.

Trainer Jim Goldie has won two of the four previous runnings of Musselburgh's 7f Fillies' Handicap and looks to have another strong candidate this year in the shape of Dandy Magic.

She travelled sweetly at the back of the field over 6f at Ayr last month but the leaders got away from her when the pace increased and Paul Mulrennan's mount could only run on late to finish a never-nearer fifth.

She's never won over quite this far but looks ready for the return to the slightly longer trip now and the four-year-old is worth another chance off her current mark of 77.

David Menuisier's stable form has picked up late in the campaign and his sole runner on the card at Kempton Park has an outstanding chance of getting another winner on the board.

Rhythm Of My Heart has earned a BHA mark of 79 from her two starts to date, the Lope Y Fernandez filly having built on her 7f debut run at this track when second again in a much stronger contest over 1m at Goodwood.

The Goodwood winner has rubber-stamped the level of form with a subsequent victory at Pontefract meaning she now has a rating of 85 and Rhythm Of My Heart might not need to improve much more in order to open her account here. Stall three should be beneficial and credible opposition appears thin on the ground.
