Oak Tree Stakes, Goodwood, 15:00 - Back Planet Seeker each-way @ 8/19.00

Ralph Beckett enjoyed two winners in this race 12 months ago when his pair of three-year-olds dead heated and he could reprise that success with Planet Seeker here.

The daughter of Blue Point was a game winner on debut at today's venue last season when scoring narrowly over six furlongs and she has continued her progression this term, including when comfortably landing a handicap on the July Course last time.

Winning a race of that nature off a mark of 85 is a mile away from what is required to land this Group 3, but the assessor was sufficiently impressed to raise Beckett's progressive filly to 95 off the back of that decisive three and a half length success and she could improve again granted conditions which clearly suit.

Favourite Flora Of Bermuda sometimes causes issues at the stalls which would be enough to put me off and Sayidah Dariyan could be the biggest threat from those at the head of the market.

Molecomb Stakes, Goodwood, 15:35 - Back Pershaada @ 3/14.00

I was present at Goodwood in May when Pershaada bolted up on her third career start and she could prove the answer to this Group 3 prize back at a venue which suited her so well.

The selection posted a clear career best at Ascot last time when finishing a highly commendable fourth in the Queen Mary at a sizeable price and, although she won't be anything like those odds here, she should appreciate the drop in class.

Time students were left eulogising over her course and distance performance back in May with the length and a quarter success rated the quickest time clocked in the previous decade over Goodwood's straight five furlong course.

It takes some believing that a juvenile could record that data, but the ground that day was condusive to producing fast times with four millimetres of rain providing a beautiful cushion and if conditions ride similar today then Pershaada's pace could see her land a first Group race win.

Goodwood, 17:40 - Back Crimson Spirit each-way @ 13/27.50

The booking of Ryan Moore for Goodwood lover Crimson Spirit looks significant in this well-contested finale and a solid effort at Newmarket on his latest start may have set up the selection for a second course win here.

The son of Harry Angel continues to operate at a consistent level in seven furlong handicaps and his latest run on the July Course behind Secret History was rated on a par with anything he has achieved in a 22-race career.

The Kubler's nimble gelding saves all his best efforts for switchback tracks like Goodwood, Epsom and Brighton so this terrain holds no terrors for a horse which has bright each-way prospects.
