13:50 - Westerton

It looks like the ground could get pretty testing if the forecast rain arrives throughout Wednesday, so it's an obvious positive that he has form on soft. His recent progression, which included a Sandown win and a good third in a competitive Newmarket handicap over 1m2f, have come on better ground, though.

He went up 1lb for the Newmarket third last time, but he looked well worth a try at this 1m4f trip that day.

14:25 - Jumbly

She was set to run at the abandoned Curragh Sunday meeting recently but hopefully this presents her with another decent opportunity.

There is little between a lot of these ratings-wise, but she has soft ground form and I think she can be better than she showed when fourth in the Duke Of Cambridge last time. She has a solid chance in a very open race, and 7f may suit her in the likely conditions.

15:00 - Kylian

I sat on him for the first time at Sandown last month and you had to be very impressed by the manner in which he picked up after I switched him to the outside after a rail run clearly didn't materialise. Wide-margin Windsor Castle winner Big Evs is probably the one to beat but this horse isn't far behind him form-wise after what he did at Sandown, though both horses are unproven on soft ground and that is the question mark.

15:35 - Paddington

What this horse has done this season is little short of extraordinary, as he keeps on building and improving with every run. And I think he can get even better. He won on heavy first time up and he has done it on better ground since, and I get the impression there is more in the locker, even if his defeat of Emily Upjohn was obviously top-class form in its own right.

We saw he easily had the Group 1 pace for a mile at Royal Ascot, and I'd very much like to think he will keep his winning run intact here, but very testing ground would be a leveller, I guess. We know how good the likes of three-time Group 1 winner Inspiral is on her day.
