Betfair Ambassador Paul Nicholls discusses the prospects and form of his three runners at Kempton on Saturday afternoon, including his bid to win the Lanzarote for the second year in a row...

14.40 - Topofthegame

"The Lanzarote is a race I like to target and we’ve won it three times in the last ten years with Modus successful 12 months ago. Topofthegame is a giant of a horse with bags of talent and I am looking for a big run from him in this."

12.55 - Secret Investor

A lovely prospect who made an encouraging return at this track in November after a year off with a minor pelvic problem.

Beaten less than a length, he was making ground hand over fist on the run-in despite a mistake at the second last flight which probably cost him his chance of victory.

Secret Investor was off for a while after that with pulled muscles but he is fine again now and we are stepping him up in trip as he won his only point-to-point and shapes like a stayer.

Having had that little hold up, this will be almost like his first run of the season all over again. I expect him to go well and to improve for the outing.

14.05 - Art Mauresque

Had an unfortunate start to the campaign when he made an early exit in a valuable handicap chase at Ascot early in November. He then missed a few days of work because he was a bit sore afterwards.

Art Mauresque is rather a victim of his own success. He is such a hard horse to place as he is handicapped to the hilt on a mark of 150 and isn't good enough to beat the best at level weights so finding suitable races for him is quite a challenge.

This Listed chase against five opponents looks an ideal opportunity for him to regain his confidence after his fall before a spring campaign when hopefully he can be competitive on better ground.

14.40 - Topofthegame

Banged his knee when he fell five out while going very well on his debut over fences at Newbury two months ago.

He was on the easy list for a spell after that and as he still lacks experience we've decided to switch him back to hurdles for the rest of the season before having another go over fences next winter.
