Paul has five runners at Chepstow on Saturday afternoon

As well as his runners at Kempton Paul Nicholls has five chances at Chepstow on Saturday, and although none of them are obvious winners the Betfair Ambassador does believe his runner in the early handicap hurdle on the card can go very close...

  • Inca looks to have great chance in handicap hurdle

  • Two outside chances in Pertemps Qualifier

  • Later two runners will both be suited by the course

Can go very close with latest run under her belt

13:57 - Inca De Lafayette

She just needed the run last time at Chepstow on her first start for 10 months but was up with the leaders until lack of peak fitness told late on. She should be a lot sharper now and can go very close.

Hoping he regains confidence back over hurdles

15:07 - Southfield Harvest

He hasn't progressed as I hoped over fences and hasn't jumped well enough. So he is back over hurdles now with a pair of blinkers on in a bid to spark him up and regain his confidence.

Needed run last time and has each-way claims

15:07 - Take Your Time

He needed his run last time 84 days ago after a wind op in the summer and seems to have improved plenty since then. He has won before over course and distance and looks to have a nice each-way chance.

Course should be more to his liking

15:45 - Friend Or Foe

I thought he ran a solid race at Musselburgh three weeks ago when he found the track a bit too sharp for him. The stiffer nature of the galloping course at Chepstow should be more to his liking.

Course will suit but he's one for the future

16:52 - Kruger Park

He showed his inexperience on his debut at Hereford just before Christmas but ran a race of promise despite getting a bit tired in the closing stages. While he is another who will be suited by the stiffer nature of Chepstow he is still quite raw and I see him more as a horse for next season.
