Bath, 17:02 - Back Pierian @ 10/34.33
This is an interesting race for a class 4 fillies' handicap at Bath and several of the six-strong field come into it in good form.
Mythical Bird and the hat-trick-seeking Aravalli are sure to be up there on plenty of shortlists, while Sir Mark Prescott's Wootton Bassett filly Asset has yet to finish out of the first three in six starts and she could well appreciate stepping up in trip here.
However, the one I like is the impeccably-bred Pierian, who may not quite live up to her blue-blooded pedigree but has shown more than enough to suggest she's up to winning middle-of-the road handicaps.
She was off the mark on her second start at Salisbury in May before completing a simple task up against just one rival at Yarmouth next time.
The selection was then far from disgraced when fourth in a Longchamp listed race two starts back, while I'm prepared to strike a line through her handicap debut at Goodwood last time, where little went right for her and she was allowed to coast home.
This race isn't as competitive as that one and Pierian remains with plenty of potential for the Haggas/Marquand team.

Mark's Bet of the Day: Hamilton, 18:20 - Back Battle Fever @ 11/102.11
Kevin Ryan's Battle Fever might just have bumped into the best two-year-old around at York last time and he'll have nothing of that calibre to face on Wednesday evening as he carries top weight in his first nursery.
That valuable sales race saw an astonishing performance by Aidan O'Brien's Sun Goddess as she got into all sorts of trouble but still powered home to win by daylight.
It was no disgrace for Battle Fever to finish second to a potential Classic winner that day and he could well prove to be leniently treated as he gets to race in his first handicap from a mark of 88.
The selection got off the mark himself two starts ago with a convincing win in a Thirsk novice and he already has previous experience of this track having finished third here the time before.
A repeat of that York effort should be enough to get the job done and Battle Fever looks open to plenty of progression as he makes just his fifth start.

Kempton, 18:30 - Back Farasan @ 7/24.50
There are plenty of likely improvers on show in this 6f novice and Ralph Beckett's Frankel filly Sierra Belle sets the standard on what she's done in her two starts to date.
She's finished second on both those outings and has shown plenty of promise along the way, though my feeling from watching them is that if she's to improve it may well be at 7f, rather than the 6f she's been kept to so far.
With that in mind, she could be vulnerable and I'm going to take her on with John & Thady Gosden's Farasan.
A half-brother to the stable's smart three-year-old Oxagon, this one was rather green when only sixth on his debut at Newmarket last month, but the winner that day could well turn out to be a good one and we only have to cast our minds back to last week where Algaihabane showed marked improvement on his second start for the same yard.
There could be plenty more to come from Farasan, with Oisin Murphy retaining the ride as he looks to bag another winner in his pursuit of Billy Loughnane.
