Yarmouth, 13:20 - Back Pietro @ 9/43.25

Top weight Pietro warrants consideration from a mark of 81 under 3lb claiming Taryn Langley in the apprentice handicap opening contest at Yarmouth on Tuesday. He's currently 1lb lower than when winning at odds of 9/110.00 in a Wolverhampton handicap on reappearance in March, following on from a narrow defeat in this contest twelve months ago when rated 1lb lower.

With course form and on the back of a creditable third to subsequent Longchamp winner Blue Brother, now rated 108, at Doncaster, the four-year-old gelding should pose a threat in this contest. He has been successful at a higher level in the past and is currently on a workable rating from which he can strike.

Curragh, 13:55 - Back Go Athletico E/W @ 10/111.00

Course-and-distance winner Go Athletico has dropped to a mark of 74, now 12lb lower than when recording his latest win in a 16-runner handicap here, and has been knocking on the door on multiple occasions this season without success.

He should be capable of putting in a competitive effort from his current rating, making huge each-way appeal at the weights under 5lb claiming Reese Holohan should he find a favourable passage.

The eight-year-old has form in deeper waters and is a classy performer on his day. He has shown his talent from a much higher rating in the past and could be worth keeping the faith in.

Bet of the day: Curragh, 15:00 - Back Maire Rua @ 13/82.63

Exciting filly Maire Rua impressed to land Listed honours at Leopardstown at the Irish Champions Festival last month, beating Timeless Tale by half-a-length at odds of 5/23.50 under Colin Keane. She had previously beaten Bellesque to convincingly win her maiden on debut before finishing third in a Listed Cork contest to Alwaysanangel.

Entitled to continue improving as she gains further experience, the eye-catching grey filly should prove tough to beat in this Group Three contest. She has made a significant impression in her career so far and could take another step forward as she steps up in grade under Colin Keane for Ger Lyons.

The daughter of Frankel has the scope for more progression and is one to keep onside.

Notable winners from Katie in recent weeks

Curragh, 15:35 - Back Puppet Master E/W @ 8/19.00

Puppet Master is one to note each-way from a rating of 92 for Ciaran Murphy. He was a promising youngster for his former trainer Aidan O'Brien, winning a Galway maiden by four-lengths following a runner-up effort on debut behind Apples And Bananas, and landed Listed honours in the Lingfield Derby Trial as a three-year-old as well as finishing fourth in a Group Three to Delacroix.

Gelded prior to joining his current stable, the four-year-old has been seen often over obstacles of late and won his maiden hurdle at Kilbeggan when beaten Kimi De Mai during the summer. He returned on the Flat with a third-placed effort to Golden Splendour when last seen, far from disgraced at odds of 33/134.00, and could be capable of better back on handicap debut in this sphere.

Curragh, 16:45 - Back Loingseoir E/W @ 16/117.00

Course-and-distance winner Loingseoir is another contender on this Curragh card that has been putting in eye-catching performances in defeat recently. He was only denied half-a-length by Blue Blue Moon here in his penultimate outing and is now 1lb lower than when successful over 7f at this track twelve months ago.

Having performed well from a higher mark earlier in the season and having shown he still retains plenty of ability at the age of 10, Loingseoir is one to note each-way and could make the frame under 7lb claiming Shay Wallace.

Newcastle, 16:57 - Back Circus Of Rome @ 9/25.50

Circus Of Rome returned to form following a few disappointing efforts in deep waters when second to Wahdan at Pontefract last month. He's 1lb higher here, 9lb above his last winning mark, but remains on a workable rating having performed well from an even higher rating in the past.

Yet to be fully exposed, there could be more to come from the Richard Hughes-trained contender and he appears worth keeping onside following an encouraging effort.

Stepping back up in distance here could allow him to land a fourth career success considering he has course-and-distance winning form and was staying on strongly over a mile-and-a-quarter when last seen.

Newcastle, 20:30 - Back Pit Boss E/W @ 16/117.00

7

In the hands of 3lb claiming Cian Horgan for Liam Bailey, course-and-distance winner Pit Boss could improve on his latest eighth-placed effort at the track. He was beaten only two-and-a-quarter-lengths on that occasion when sent off at odds of 33/134.00, improving on his previous Turf efforts at Catterick.

With a huge amount of experience here in his favour and on a workable rating considering his form from earlier in the year, the four-year-old grey shouldn't be discounted as he's capable of making the frame at a price on a going day. He has form figures of 74212233138 here this year, having enjoyed a brilliant run of form during the first few months of 2026 at the track. His latest run was an encouraging effort and could set him up nicely for this contest.
