Trapped Goddess is my pick in what doesn't look a particularly strong fillies novice stakes. Her debut was very promising in what looked a decent Haydock maiden doing her best work at the finish after a slow start. She was beaten just over 3 lengths day by a well-regarded Karl Burke newcomer however that distance doesn't do the performance justice as she made up plenty ground in the final furlong. Out of Sioux Nation, Trapped Goddess cost €100,000 back in May so is clearly well held by connections who are no strangers to decent 2-year-olds.
From Afar is the chief danger after her Pontefract maiden win over 6f staying on strongly at the finish. The field was a bit bunched at the finish suggesting there was probably nothing special in the race but the runner-up has gone and won since to lend the form a little weight. But From Afar has to concede weight to Trapped Goddess which could make all the difference with the selection being the filly open to most improvement in the field.

This is an ultra-competitive, six-runner, class two hurdle with a couple having serious claims, but I'm going to side with the oldest horse in the field Miss Maverick.
She has been off since winning a Class 2 Worcester handicap hurdle in July and comes here with cracking credentials off a career high mark with that form having been boosted since. She beat Our Guide by a head that day who has since gone and finished a close third in the Silver Trophy Handicap Hurdle at Chepstow last Saturday. That was a very strong race and would have Our Guide very short in tomorrow's affair. Dream Diamond, the third placed horse that day in Worcester has since come out and placed in numerous handicaps since indicating he too is no slouch.
Furthermore, Miss Maverick has a great record fresh with her winning over this C&D previously after a year off. The Skelton's highly progressive Service Minimum will rate the main danger, but she is beginning to creep up the handicap and could be getting vulnerable. Seamoon Story is another with a chance after her distant maiden hurdle win however he will have to step up on that form to win here.
