Uttoxeter, 13:50 - Back It's Top @ 6/17.00

Completely unexposed on handicap debut, It's Top could be well treated from a rating of 116 for trainer Oliver Signy. He won well at Carlisle when last seen, justifying 8/131.61 favouritism, shedding his maiden tag at only the second time of asking over obstacles.

In his penultimate start, It's Top emerged with great credit when second to Sober Glory, who has since run brilliantly in the Supreme Novices' Hurdle at the Cheltenham Festival, outrunning odds of 12/113.00 to make the frame in his first start following a 327-day absence.

Earlier in his career, he had beaten Jordans Cross in a Chepstow bumper on Rules debut, following a point-to-point win, and shaped with great promise. This is only his sixth career start and he remains open to plenty of further improvement, capable of making a successful start in the handicap sphere under Gavin Sheehan.

Uttoxeter, 14:25 - Back A Pai De Nom @ 2/13.00

A convincing winner at Newbury when last seen, A Pai De Nom may not be deterred by a 5lb rise and could be worth sticking with for Dan Skelton, who enjoyed winners at the Cheltenham Festival this week. He finished third in a competitive handicap to Iberico Lord in his penultimate start, when bidding for a third successive win, and remains on an upward trajectory, capable of showing further improvement.

The six-year-old makes only his seventh start over hurdles having performed consistently well over obstacles to date, recording form figures of 121131. He was also a length-and-three-quarters second to Sober Glory in a Chepstow bumper on debut, form that has been significantly franked, and should prove to be better than his current rating of 129 reflects.

Kempton, 14:40 - Back Tranquil Sea E/W @ 33/134.00

Recent wind surgery could allow Tranquil Sea to shape better than he has done in recent runs. He has struggled to get into a rhythm lately during his races, but has previously shown a decent level of ability and could be worth keeping the faith in from a lower mark.

.Now rated 117, the six-year-old is back on his previous winning mark when successful at Chepstow last autumn. He won at odds of 4/15.00 on that occasion, beating Marlacoo by a length-and-three-quarters.

Having won from this rating in the past, Tranquil Sea is one to note each-way at the weights. He could spring a surprise in the hands of Paul O'Brien for Dan Skelton, capable of outrunning his odds if able to bounce back to some form from a workable mark.

Kempton, 16:28 - Back Surrey Quest E/W @ 20/121.00

This could be the time to catch Surrey Quest in his second run following wind surgery for Toby Lawes. The nine-year-old travelled well into the race at Lingfield when last seen before eventually pulling up, but drops in trip here from a 3lb mark and could fare better.

Now back on his last winning mark of 128, 5lb lower than when just touched off by the sadly ill-fated Macdermott in the 2024 Scottish Grand National, and 9lb lower than when chasing home the sadly ill-fated Abuffalosoldier at Cheltenham.

Appearing well treated at the weights, the son of Milan is one to note from a workable mark. He hasn't been seen to best effect so far this term but he's proven over this distance and a resurgence is possible.
