Punchestown, 14:45 - Back Baby Kate @ 5/16.00
A daughter of Champs Elysees and Augusta Kate, Baby Kate steps up to the intermediate distance of two-and-a-half-miles for the first time having been successful over the minimum distance in bumpers and a maiden hurdle previously. She's a Listed winner but has been unable to pose a serious threat in her latest few outings, and the step up could be able to bring out further improvement from her.
Her dam was a Grade One winner over this distance and was able to be competitive at a high level over three miles, whilst her half-sister Cousin Kate, who also lines up in this contest, has proven efficient over this distance in handicap company.
Unexposed over this trip, Baby Kate could be able to improve on her latest efforts to make her presence felt in this field under regular rider Brian Hayes. She has form in softer conditions and represents a Willie Mullins yard that has landed seven of the past ten renewals, including with the brilliant Annie Power and most recently with Jade De Grugy in 2025.

Punchestown, 15:45 - Back He's Home Again @ 4/15.00
Edward Cawley is represented by eight-year-old gelding He's Home Again in this 3m1f handicap hurdle. The son of Mount Nelson has proven form in testing conditions and is only 5lb higher than his last winning mark, when successful at Cork in 2024.
Since his latest win, He's Home Again has been able to perform with credit on his return to Cork when fifth in a 20-runner field there last April. He was rated 5lb higher that day under returning rider Philip Byrnes, and, in calmer waters, could be able to put in a bold bid as he seeks a second career win.
Lightly raced in only his 15th start, having been seen over fences on a few occasions in recent appearances, He's Home Again has the ability to put in a competitive effort on a going day and shouldn't be discounted. He needs to improve plenty on his return to action in November, well beaten despite finishing sixth of 15, but could take a step forward for his first run in 217 days and fare better this time around.
