Newbury, 15:55 - Back Jupiter Des Bordes E/W @ 25/126.00
Richard Hobson-trained Jupiter Des Bordes is no forlorn hope at odds of 25/126.00 in this extended 2m7f handicap. He's 14lb higher than his previous win when recording a narrow success at Warwick in December, beating House Of Habsburg, who has since won twice by a combined distance of 23-lengths, with the pair pulling 26-lengths clear of third-placed Star Of Diamonds.
Despite being much higher rated in his subsequent start, the son of Buck's Boum was able to put in a competitive effort as the 11/102.11 favourite when only narrowly denied by Egbert in a higher class contest at Haydock. He couldn't resume his good form at Windsor when last seen in a competitive 16-runner staying handicap, but has the ability to bounce back and appears on a workable mark under 5lb claiming Charlie Maggs.
His dam, Bossa Nova, is a half-sister to Miss Berry, dam of Kopek Des Bordes and other talented black-type achievers. There's plenty of class and talent in his pedigree, and there could be more to come from Jupiter Des Bordes.
The seven-year-old is bidding for a third win in his 15th start, still capable of showing further improvement over fences considering some of the performances he has been able to produce in his nine starts to date. He makes each-way appeal at the prices, and shouldn't be discounted, capable of making the frame if able to return to the form he had shown earlier during this current campaign.

Wolverhampton, 17:30 - Back Woodhay Whisper @ 11/53.20
Course-and-distance winner Woodhay Whisper is 6lb higher than her last winning mark but has been able to make the frame from a similar rating here following her latest win, and was able to finish third from a 4lb higher rating at Lingfield last month.
The four-year-old filly was in great form in the autumn into the winter months, running consistently well on the all-weather, recording form figures of 12243 at this venue since her return to action for trainer Jack Jones. She had previously recorded a sole success for former trainer Max Young, when justifying favouritism at Chelmsford under Billy Loughnane last sprint, and has also run well on multiple occasions at this track, too.
With a good record at Wolverhampton and from a handy mark, the daughter of Coulsty can make her presence felt in this 6f sprint under Rhys Clutterbuck. She's a likeable performer on her day and has enough in her favour to suggest she can put in a bold bid as she attempts to return to the winners' enclosure in familiar surroundings.

Wolverhampton, 19:30 - Back Eagle Day E/W @ 14/115.00
Six-year-old gelding Eagle Day is winless in 15 runs since narrowly beating Charmaine over an extra furlong at this track last winter, but has put in a number or promising efforts since and is now 11lb lower rated on a mark of 69.
The David Evans-trained contender was able to be competitive in much higher class races won by the likes of Apiarist and Smart Hero last year when rated 84, and, although he has been unable to make much of an impression in recent runs, could be worth keeping the faith in at this level from a lenient rating. He has course-and-distance winning and a tongue-tie is reapplied as he bids to return to form in the hands of George Downing.
The son of Kodiac is better than shown recently and excuses can be made for some of his efforts. He could prove worth keeping onside and reward the faith with a promising effort.

Wolverhampton, 20:30 - Back Revich E/W @ 6/17.00
Ten-year-old veteran Revich warrants consideration in his 70th career start under 5lb claimer Taryn Langley. He has been running consistently well in defeat recently, making the frame on a few occasions in big field handicaps including when outrunning odds of 33/134.00 to finish third at Kempton in October.
The Adrian Wintle-trained runner is 39lb lower rated than when recording his last success as a seven-year-old at Ayr in 2023, but has since been able to perform well from a higher rating than his current mark on occasion, particularly on the Turf. He's winless on the all-weather and rated 11lb lower than his Turf rating, but has shown enough ability on this surface to suggest he can put in a competitive effort at the least and make the frame once again.
The experienced son of Requinto could be able to finally strike on the all-weather in this extended 1m1f contest, holding each-way claims.
