Horse Racing Tips: Katie Midwinter's best bets on Tuesday including 11/1 Listowel Harvest Festival fancy

Listowel, 14:57 - Back Dragon Of Malta E/W @ 6/17.00

Dragon Of Malta recorded two wins at last year's Listowel Harvest Festival and could do the same again this year following a gutsy winning performance on Monday in County Kerry. He's a hugely likeable contender who still remains on a workable rating at the best of his ability, and clearly has a liking for the track, always one to consider when lining up here for Pat O'Donnell.

Listowel, 14:57 - Back Go Athletico E/W @ 11/112.00

Equipped with a first-time visor as well as his usual tongue-tie, versatile performer Go Athletico is one to note for Ado McGuinness under 5lb claiming Sam Coen. He's 11lb below his last winning mark and was unlucky from a 2lb higher rating at the Galway Festival during the summer.

Earlier in the campaign, he finished third at odds of 12/113.00 in a 12-runner Naas handicap from a 9lb higher mark than his current rating, proving he still retains plenty of ability on his day. From a lenient mark at the best of his form, the experienced eight-year-old could prove worth keeping onside as he bids for a tenth win.

Listowel, 16:41 - Back Exquisite Acclaim E/W @ 11/112.00

With cheekpieces back on and sporting a first-time tongue-tie, Exquisite Acclaim could return to winning ways in this mile handicap under 7lb claiming Conor Cusack. He's 8lb below his last winning mark, when winning at Dundalk in January, and was a decent third to Hygge at Laytown when last seen.

The seven-year-old gelding, who makes his 70th start in this contest, has shown he still possesses plenty of ability with a few creditable efforts this year, including when third to Glory To Be at Fairyhouse during the summer, and he could be worth keeping the faith in.

Southwell, 16:55 - Back Darn Hot Gallop @ 5/16.00

James Tate-trained Darn Hot Gallop is back on her last winning mark of 83 when a surprise 22/123.00 winner at Newmarket on reappearance where she landed a hat-trick to remain unbeaten under Hector Crouch, who returns in the saddle here.

She hasn't been in quite the same form since, putting in a number of below par efforts, but she remains lightly-raced and largely unexposed, therefore could be capable of a resurgence and return to form. 

Having shaped with plenty of promise in her earlier starts, the Too Darn Hot filly has proven she has plenty of ability and this could be a feasible opportunity for to rediscover some form.

Bet of the day: Beverley, 17:00 - Back Glenfinnan @ 9/25.50

Top weight Glenfinnan holds solid claims for Michael Dods and Connor Beasley in familiar surroundings at Beverley, only 4lb above his last winning mark having shown form from a higher rating in the past.

The course-and-distance winner has run well at the track on multiple occasions this year and could do so again back down in class. His latest run is worth forgiving and, at the scene of his latest win, he could fare much better in this extended 7f handicap.

Listowel, 17:16 - Back Lord Aus E/W @ 8/19.00

Johnny Murtagh-trained Lord Aus impressed to get off the mark at the fifth attempt in first-time cheekpieces when a three-and-a-half-length winner over a mile-and-a-half at Limerick during the summer. He was upped 12lb for that maiden success and has only been seen once in handicap company since, when having some excuses at Roscommon last month.

It's too early to give up on the son of Australia, who could have more to give over the staying trips. This is only his eighth career start and, having shaped as a strong stayer when recording his sole success to date, he is one to note under Ben Coen as he attempts to get back on track and resume his progression.

Southwell, 17:30 - Back Storm Point @ 5/16.00

From a mark of 77 under Kieran Shoemark for Ed Walker, Storm Point holds solid claims only 4lb higher than his last winning mark. He remains unexposed and capable of showing further progression, and should improve on his latest outing at Haydock when fifth as the well-backed 5/23.50 favourite, in a race which didn't pan out favourably for him.

With excuses to be made for his latest appearance, Storm Point appears a gelding to keep onside currently as he could improve beyond his current mark in future.

Southwell, 18:30 - Back Enola Grey E/W @ 12/113.00

Course winner Enola Grey has noteworthy form at this venue which makes her a contender to consider when lining up at the all-weather track. She's a likeable performer on her day and could give a good account of herself from a mark of 68 under Conor Whiteley, making appeal at the weights.

The Gemma Tutty-trained mare is currently 5lb below her last winning mark when successful at Wolverhampton last winter. She hasn't been at her best in recent runs but was far from disgraced at Carlisle and Ascot in respective races during the summer and is capable of better than in her latest outing at this venue.
